Top-notch quality as is with every Pelican case I've ever used. As a cop, I use this case on-duty as my food cooler and it's a beast of an awesome case! It keeps my food items secure and super cold in the terrible Arizona heat (Phoenix area) yet still has ample room to store other non-perishables and utensils. The lid and latches are quick and easy to access and it's as sturdy as a tank! In the past, I've tried to save money by going with the cheaper Coleman and Igloo plastic coolers, but they just don't hold up under the wear and tear and they can't keep your food cold as long as the Pelican does. I can tell I'll have this cooler for many years to come!

Been a Pelican fan for years now and will stay a fan forever.I do brag about my Pelican when friends say, "why don't you get a Yeti, they are better", LOL, I proudly refer them to the many U Tube videos that show why I have the Pelican instead. I also find myself training them on how to prepare the Pelican prior to use and remind them not to drain the water out especially if ice is still present, cause if there's ice then the water is still around 32 degrees. Right? I also have told them of times when during the summer and the cooler is in my work truck, I grab a bottle of water to find it has frozen ice in it.... now that's cold, right. I guess I'm a cooler nerd ...LOL

The product was delivered just in time for our weekend trip so I could use it immediately. I have the 20QT version of this as well, which is taller, but I find this 14QT more versatile for everyday use. I love the extra compartment it and all the extra bells and whistles. It can fit everything for a small picnic or even for just everyday lunch and is easy enough to carry if you need to haul it to places.I was able to snag one when it was on sale so it was worth it for me. Although, I honestly would not mind paying full price for this. It is that good. I love Pelican coolers and so glad that I was able to add this to my collection. I'm looking forward to getting the 40QT or the 70QT in the future.

I already have a large rotomolded cooler and a medium-sized soft side RTIC/YETI-styled cooler. This cooler fits a smaller niche and is great. I used this cooler extensively over the last week during turkey season. I would put a sandwich, water bottle, and a soda or two in there along with a large ice pack and always enjoyed ice cold beverages after finishing a hunt. I do religiously pre-chill my coolers, but the Pelican and my ice packs kept my Gatorade so cold that it started to freeze...I'm planning a kayaking trip this Friday and the Pelican will be secured down to the deck with our lunch and beverages.I was slightly surprised at the size; I had it in my head that it was slightly smaller, but it's great. My only disappointment is that the Ozark Trail medium sized -2* ice packs won't fit upright on each end. I'll be looking for some cheaper -2* ice packs, but might just end up with the Pelican 1# ones.Overall highly recommended!
Sticker on the front of the cooler say up to 36 hours. However I found that it actually lasted 3 days. I put in 4 small frozen gel packs (2 in the upper tray) and 2 in the cooler. I put in a few cans of sparkling water at room temperature. The cooler sat in my car, in the sun. It chilled the cans up nicely. By the 3rd day there was still a gel pack partially frozen in the bottom of the cooler. This is a great personal cooler and is perfect for road trips etc.; highly recommended.
I love everything about this cooler, the weight, size and all the bells and whistles that you dont get out of a yeti. The only thing i was a bit dissapointed about was the colour. I ordered the sage green, on the web and pics it looked darker than what it reallt is. Its kinda of more a light feminine pastel green to me. I knew of the Pelican cooler reputation, but the Adorama sale price made me wary. Turned out to be legit. Got a great cooler at essentially half the going price. The 1st time I used it I used 4 small ice packs. It froze my refrigerator temperature lunch! I've scaled back and it works great. Ice packs are still almost solid at the end of a long day in the field. I already told friends and family about it. One jumped on the same deal.
I purchased this cooler after mulling about it for a few days. Wow I am glad I made the purchase. This thing keeps drinks cool and can store other items as well in the top. I have taken this cooler out to the FL Keys, on fishing trips, and WaveRunner rides and its just the right size for me. The cooler fits perfect in the front compartment of my Yamaha FX HO WaveRunner. Its almost like it was built for it. This is hands down a must buy and I will be getting another one soon to match the color of my WaveRunner. My buddy was so impressed he purchased one also and carries it to work everyday. The tray in the cooler allows you to keep items out of the ice such as sandwiches and snacks and keeps the cold at the same time. Do yourself a favor and get this one!
I bought this to put in my work truck to keep drinks and lunches cold on long trips. I had a pelican 35qt in there but it was always in my way and too heavy when I needed it to bring in and out of the house. I have a 35 and a 70qt and they are great on the boat or at camp but they are usually too big when it’s just me. This thing is great. I love the basket that keeps sandwiches and stuff up out of the ice. I’m not sure what I will put in there, but the drybox on top works really well. I washed the cooler out in the shower on full blast, intentionally spraying the edges and no water got into the dry area at all. I had a Moosejaw flag in there and it was bone dry. The cooler easily keeps a few days worth of food and drinks cold and is not too heavy or bulky. Great ... MoreI bought this to put in my work truck to keep drinks and lunches cold on long trips. Great quality, good warranty. I love it!
