Pelikan makes a great writing instrument, and the M200 is no different. If you've held a Sailor Pro Gear Slim, this pen is a similar size, though a tad slimmer. The piston-fill mechanism performs admirably, and allows this relatively small pen to have an impressive ink capacity. The fine nib that I recieved is wonderful. It is a true fine, though I've been told there is a bit of variance. I have not experienced this, as this is my first and only Pelikan. Even for a steel nib, it is quite smooth, and a wonderful writer.

Haven’t used it yet (it’s my Christmas present) but LOVE Pelikan pens and LOVE piston fillers and was just GIDDY when I saw that they were even still available, since it was an LE color. I had gotten one when they first were released, but lost it. Then got lucky and found a used one on eBay but then trailed around a pen show to get a replacement B nib because the IM nib on the used one was a firehose even by Pelikan standards of “wet”. Then promptly lost the second one. :-(. So could NOT believe that this color was even still around at this point. And when I saw Pen Boutique had them in stock and could get one with a B nib at that? It was me telling my husband “THIS is what I want for Christmas!” So, I’m being good and NOT using it just yet…. It’s probably my favorite color version of the M200s/M205s…..

I haven’t had this pen for very long, but one thing I was extremely excited about, though not expecting at all, is how well it writes on cheap paper. I am a student in law school, and I do a lot of traditional note taking by hand, but I just don’t have the money to spend on thick, high-quality paper. That’s why I was so pleasantly surprised to find that the pen did not have any noticeable bleed through on regular note paper. On a more regular note, the pen writes very smooth and has a simple, self-contained fill mechanism. I love the color combination and the finishes are superb. The only issue I have is that the pen clip and the branding on the metal band below it are not quite perfectly aligned. This would be an issue for me if I had payed full price for the ... MoreI haven’t had this pen for very long, but one thing I was extremely excited about, though not expecting at all, is how well it writes on cheap paper. I had bought this pen from FLIPKART almost two years ago. The craftsmanship of the pen is excellent. The green swirling marbled pattern is a beauty to look at. The pen writes fine-medium and the nib has a slightly springly feel to it, wherefrom you can get a fair amount of line variation.Till now I have not faced any incidence of hard-start and skipping. Even after leaving the pen unused for 15 days the pen started without any issues. The ink flows wet and has a slight feedback. you should go for this pen only if:1. you love a slight feedback as the nib is not glassy smooth.2. you have smaller hands as the pen is small in dimension and is very light.3. at this price you can get pens with gold nibs of Indian and Japanese brands. Got the Pelikan M200 Green Marbled GT with a Medium Nib from Makoba. This was my second purchase from Makoba. As expected the pen was shipped within 24 hours by Bluedart and arrived in the typical solid Makoba packaging. The pen is a delight to write with. The medium nib is more like a Japanese medium not a typical German Medium so the lines are smooth and not too broad. There is decent amount of line variation from the gold plated nib.The green swirl is a real treat to the eyes and Always pleasing to look at while writing. The Pelikan quality is top notch. It’s a small pen and since I have small hands it’s very comfortable. I am really happy with the pen. It’s a highly recommended pen if one is looking for affordable pelikan M series pen with a gold plated nib ... MoreGot the Pelikan M200 Green Marbled GT with a Medium Nib from Makoba. I have other M200/205 pens and find that their smaller size and lighter weight feels good in my hand. I also appreciate the smooth operation of the pistons on this model. The Pelikan warehouse in Hannover recently made a number of NOS older pens available to U.S. retailers. I was delighted to see that Pen Boutique had this 2015 special edition M200 in stock. I'd actually been hunting for a Cafe Creme for a while, as its combination of colors distinguish it from other M200/M205 models. To my eye, the colors on the Cafe Creme are especially rich. The ink window blends in beautifully, as does the gold trim. The supplied nibs on the M200/205 models are steel, and I usually get along fine with these nibs, right out of the box. While the M nib on this Cafe Creme was okay, I've since switched it to a 14k B nib which shows off ink saturation and shading much better. As has been my experience over several years now, this transaction with Pen Boutique was unproblematic. I recommend that you look over the other NOS older Pelikans that may still be in stock, and grab one before it disappears!
I wanted a quality pen and pelikan was highly recommendedbut this pen is small and just looks and feels like a ÂŁ20 pen not a ÂŁ139i really wanted a pelikan pen but reluctantly make have to look for another brandvery disappointed as i was so looking to it arrivingthe packaging is beautiful but bit of a shock when i opened the boxi wont be giving a public negative review as thats not my style

First, I made an order that was to be sent to MI. It went from you to Jacksonville Florida for three days then back to you then to Michigan. I know its the USPS not you.My last order, two weeks ago, I didn't review yet because I am thinking how to word it, arrived late. I was on a 10 day work trip to San Antonio and ordered a pen for a gift. I had 6 days remaining on my stay. I paid extra for two day shipping. My pen went from you to the Puerto Rico for 5 days then to San Antonio two days after I left. Other companies send Fed Ex or UPS no charge and the package comes in time. I pay the extra and still nothing. It came after I left! No gift there!Your prices are a bit higher and yet we have to pay extra for reliable shipping.Shameful.Perhaps its a good thing I ... MoreFirst, I made an order that was to be sent to MI.
