Very classy pen. Light and comfortable to hold. Biggest issue however is the nib. Bought an EF that writes like a medium. Is this the normal Pelikan sizing?? Pretty disappointed in that, as the nib is also a work of art with the intricate two-tone design.

The pen is very beautiful and writes really well. The only problem is that I did not realize it would come without a warranty (the warranty card is not filled in), but massdrop clarified that all products here have only a 30 days warranty unless they say otherwise in the product page. Also the fine nib is almost a medium, but I heard this is common with Pelikan.

I have a vibrant orange and a brilliant red M600 as well. Have looked at this blue model before and finally took the plunge. Same quality and same great feel in the hand. My fourth Pelikan overall. Hope that says enough about my experience with Pelikan.

I have always leaned towards Mont Blanc fountain pens and I have several. That said I decided to try a Pelikan M600 on advice of a friend. I ordered an M600 from Pen Boutique and I got a bottle of Pelikan ink.I will have to say, I am really impressed with the Pelikan M600 and I got the medium nib in mine. It is smooth and ink flows perfectly. When finances permit I expect I will order another M600 or maybe an M800.I would recommend the M600 to any serious fountain pen user.
I purchased both pens. The Pelikan has been delightful. I write a lot with it and refill at least once per week. I will buy another but a larger diameter barrell with my large hands. The Sailor has been leaking constantly and quite a disappointment.
I own the Pelikan M100 and M400 pens. I bought the M600 to have something in the middle of the size range. This pen has a fine nib and writes buttery smooth like my other Pelikan pens. The diameter of the barrel is small enough to fit nicely in my leather journal cover A5 pen holder. It exudes quality.I owe several Montblanc Meisterstuck 149s with different nib widths. I think that the Pelikan nibs are smoother, particularly on matte card stock.
This is my first fountain pen with a gold nib. It writes very smooth with Pelikan Edelstein tanzanite ink. The pen was easy to fill with the piston filler. The balance point of the pen when capped is just at the point where the barrel meets the cap. The weight of the pen is right for its size and matches the high quality of the brand Pelikan. It is my favorite pen!
Of the half dozen pens I current have the Pelikan is my favorite. The weight, size, and that smooth nib make for a delightful writing experience. I’m fairly new to the fountain pen world but I find that I am doing more hand writing as a result of discovering fountain pens. So far the Pelikan is my favorite.
This then, the Pelikan M600 in black & red stripe, lying in the mid range of this premium quality series. It does not fail on any level - aesthetics, form & function (Bauhaus) - smooth writing experience, & with a generous ink capacity in the barrel, itself. The 14K bi-coloured gold nib is slightly bouncy, but not to the degree of being unmannageable; it sits well in the hand (& I have large hands). Attention to detail is superlative - gold accents, clean lines, & well balanced - I can write with this all day !!Granted, not the most inexpensive writing instrument, but then you have to consider what you're purchasing: Piston filling mechanism; 14K gold nib; unrelenting performance, & a sublime finish - what more could you ask for ? Thoroughly recommended.
