Penaten Baby Cream Crème Large, 5.1 Ounce

My son was gifted with very fair /very SENSITIVE skin. He was prone to irritation and diaper rash and I would try the different brands people had given me at my.baby shower. Nothing really did anything spectacular or u would clear up the rash and stop applying! He cream and it would come right back. Until I found a thing of this Penaten cream hiding in a drawer LOL what a miracle .. he would still get diaper rashes but just applying this overnight would almost completely heal his bum . I never used another brand after I started using this. It's well priced and it is absolutely so good. It would itch so much and then be sore. I got the bright idea to take an unused tin of this / love my son but don't want to rub his butt germs all into my face / haha omg IT WORKED . Just as well for my weird skin patches as it did for my son's butt haha. It relieved the itchiness immediately and within about 5 days the skin had gone back to normal. I am a hairstylist, and my hands are constantly in and out of water, during a particular COLD and dry winter 2 years ago, they were in horrible shape. They would crack and bleed, sometimes it hurt to even bend my fingers. They looked awful , my ex poured concrete for a living and my hands looked 10 times worse than his . I tried a bunch of stuff people recommended and nothing. Then somehow , my weird little mind for rhe diaper rash cream idea again and I went and got some Penaten.omg it worked LOL I would apply it at night with a layer of vaseline on top to really lock it in there. And then throughout the day id apply it once and awhile and within a week I had total relief . I did have to use it for the rest of the winter to prevent it from returning. Now I start using it again once the cold snappy winter weather starts and I haven't had an issue since. I swear by this stuff, even if you don't have a baby lol

We have used this Penaten medicated cream for as long as I can remember. It works well on most skin irritations and it prevents rashes. We use it whenever there's a reddened skin area, blemish on the face or an abrasion anywhere really. Recently my son had an infected hang nail that was ugly looking. He removed the nail that was causing the skin to be irritated and put Penaten on it with a band aid to keep it covered. In a few days the infection was reduced and a few more days from then it was all better. This was recommended to me by my mum for my sons diaper rash. She said she used it with me and my two brothers and it worked wonders. She was right! This cleared his rash up in one day! He was so happy and I was able to change him with no tears. My dad also uses this for sunburns and my husband uses it for dry skin around his mouth and they both say it works great.

Goes on thick to cover and protect!

I used this on my 4 kids when they were babies to QUICKLY heal diaper rash. I remember one time while on vacation, my infant daughter developed an angry, bright red diaper rash on her bottom. I applied a generous amount to the rash. By her next diaper change, the rash had turned to a pale pink and had considerably shrunk, and again, I applied a generous amount. By the following day, the rash was completely gone and I had my happy baby back again. This product works!

Not the right consistency, need to return

I have been searching for original penaten and finally found it at Walmart online. I just recieved 2 containers and the consistency is completely off. Its as thought the creamy penaten was put into the original tin. I have been searching for the original style of penaten since it's much thicker. Will be returning. Very frustrated.

Not the same

I have been a huge fan of this creme. Since it is not imported in my country anymore, I was searching everywhere abroad to buy it. After buying several packs to bring home, I have realized that all negative comments were true. It is not the same, an not improved - it moves from skin, the consistency of melted marshmellow, it burns a lot once applied, smells different - as if something rancid is added to once lovely fragrance. Once again, cult product was ruined by corporate greed. Please bring back the old formulation. This one does nothing.

Product not as shown

The product shown is not what Walmart online or in store actually have in stock. The one in store and the one I received from my online order is the "newer" one which indicates on the tin cover "Original". The website showed both types and I chose the one shown that was what I have bought in the past. The one now available is actually the newer version that has extra ingredients including a very off putting perfume type scent. I needed the unscented product so had to go on a search and changed to a different brand that indicated unscented so thankfully it's fine. Just disappointed that the one I wanted was shown as available.

The new formula is horrible!

I have been using the Penaten cream for over 16 years for all my children. I bought a new jar and didn’t realize until I opened it that there is tiny print that reads ‘verbesserte Formel’ Well, it is not better! It is thin, greasy, makes a big mess, does NOT protect the skin from wetness in a diaper and does not heal wounded skin. Now Penaten is just like every other cream on the shelf. For the trash! It’s too bad, after being a loyal Penaten customer/user for so many years, I will not buy this again. Unless the old formula is brought back….

This is, by far, the best diaper rash cream out there. Nothing comes close

As a single father to a 1 year old daughter (I have a 4 year old son as well, I didn't have any experience dealing with yeast infections. After taking antibiotics for a double ear infection, my daughter developed a yeast infection that lasted over 3 months. I tried every otc and prescription product thrown at me with no success. Just when I thought it was going away it would come back. Then someone gave me Penaten cream and used in conjunction with the same prescription ointment they kept giving me, the infection was noticeable better within 24 hours and gone in 3 days. I highly recommend this product. It will clear a bad diaper rash within 24 hours and is my go to product

What were you thinking?

I have been using Penaten cream for years for skin irritations and love it. However, you recently changed the product. It has what appears to be little granules in it, isn’t as thick, and sticks like glue to your hands. I am having a hard time getting used to it and will be looking for something else.
