I got this cute little Solaris perfume to try, and boy, was I surprised! It's like capturing a bit of sunshine in a teeny bottle. Right away, you get a burst of blackcurrant, followed by this flowery hug from Ylang Ylang. And guess what? My family loved it too! It's not too strong, just perfect. The woody smell of sandalwood and a sweet hint of vanilla make it so cozy. It reminds me of warm days with the sun on my skin, just lovely. Even though it's a tiny 1.5ml bottle, the scent sticks around for quite a while.

I love carrying spray samples in my purse. That way I can ALWAYS smell good. I enjoy this sample. It's different from what I'd normally wear as I'm more of the woodsy scent person. I find this scent takes me back to my childhood. The route I'd take walking to and from school, I'd have to pass a large honeysuckle tree. This scent is a dead ringer to that scent. The nostalgic scent makes me feel young again. My boyfriend noticed the difference immediately.

I have only ever worn 3 perfumes, my entire life. And only on special occasions. Now, I am adding a fourth. Love, Love, Love this fragrance! I believe in a subtle hint of perfume, only. And I want it to be fresh and clean and light, not heavy and overwhelming. This one fits the bill! It’s light enough to wear for daytime luncheons, yet elegant enough for an evening out. It is a very pleasing scent with classic undertones.

This perfume has a potent aroma, and a little goes a long way. The fragrance has a long life that I can find almost too much for my liking if I’m too heavy handed. That being said, I enjoy using this fragrance when I’m dressing up to attend a formal event. Just the smallest amount is perfection for a long event. This fragrance gives refined, sophistication, and sensuality. I think of a warm summers day in a fancy flower garden with my lover when I smell this.
The Solaris Eau de Parfume smells amazing! It’s not too strong. Perfect subtlety! Description mentioned skin-on-skin which motivated me to pick this scent & also having other notes I generally enjoy & appreciate. Have received many compliments. Wish I was able to describe the scent in detail. I will say I am incredibly picky & have a very strong sense of smell (blessing & curse) so anything overpowering drives me bananas (usually it’s someone else with too much cheap perfume on or most anything marketed to tweens & teen girls). For reference other scents I wear include Doson by Diptyque, Jo Malone’s Orange Blossom, Fleur d’oranger by Fragonard & Willow & Water by Margot Elena. Solaris Eau de Parfume works day or night in my opinion. I love it!!
I tried this product for a two day event I was attending last week. I wanted to try something new that would last longer than my usual brand. This product was amazing. Not only did the scent not fade during the day, It lasted even in the hot weather days, when it was 90 degrees. I didn't need to reapply. It's a light scent and not over powering. A little goes a long way also. Would recommend for anyday or special occasion use.
It is so hard to find a new fragrance that hits all the marks for you. This Solaris Eau de Parfume from Penhaligon's is a higher quality fragrance that lasts for hours. It is such a nice scent with hints of woods, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine along with Blackcurrant. The scent is nice and clean which I adore. Comes in a small sample spray mist bottle. It is meant to remind you of the sun. This will go on my Christmas list this year! Definitely recommend
I am very simple when it comes to parfumes. I tend to keep things simple. I was excited to try Solaris Eau de Parfume. I didn't know what to expect but I was surprised how nice and simple yet elegant this parfume is. It reminds me of something my grandmother use to wear when I was younger. I feel like this can be used both for everyday use and special occasions. It isn't overpowering and lasts a long time. I highly recommend this parfume if you want something for everyday and special nights out.
If you're looking for a white floral perfume with a woodsy twist, I highly recommend Solaris by Penhaligon. It's a beautiful fragrance that will make you feel confident and beautiful all day long. This fragrance starts off with a strong blast of white flowers, but it quickly mellows out and settles into a more woodsy summer scent.The top notes are Blackcurrant, Neroli and Lemon Oil, which creates an aromatic citrus green flower. The middle notes are Ylang Ylang, Jasmine and Tiare Flower, which adds the a strong white floral scent and gives the perfume a more complex and sophisticated aroma. The base notes are Cedarwood, Sandalwood and Vanilla, which adds a touch of sweetness and warmth.
When you first spray this perfume you get a strong sweet smell with a hint of citrus in the background but once it starts to dissipate on your skin, the sweetness softens into a pretty, warm flowery scent and the citrus fades. While the scent inspires warmth, I found it more warm as pertains to a flower on a sunny day rather than a scent that implies the sun itself. I will wear this more in fall and winter rather than spring and summer because it is sweet and I prefer sweeter perfumes in colder weather and more citrusy in the hotter months. The scent lasts for a good duration and continues to soften the longer it is on. I found that I preferred it most after about an hour when it reached, what I believe to be, it’s intended strength.
