I used this oil for myMitsubishi Outlander Zj model 2013 and found out the car showing transmission heating issues. Replaced with the genuine Mitsubishi trans oil , everything is perfect. Felt like this penrite oil Is missing something may be right viscosity it’s it’s too thin and readily sustainable to heat!! Not prefect for long driving and need adequate testing...
While I've always trusted Penrite oils, I found this to not be equivalent to the genuine Mitsubishi DiaQueen CVTF-J4. Used it in my 2017 Outlander and found the transmission was immediately noisier. Has been in the CVT for around 6,000km and now starting to notice issues with power transfer. It sometimes takes some time for the engine revs to drop after taking off from the lights, as if the CVT ratio is sluggish to adjust once the vehicle is moving. Will be flushing this out with the genuine fluid and hoping I haven't done any damage to the transmission.

I bought this today for my 08 Outlander, it said it was for my care in the SC garage.Since I needed it urgently for an accidental drainage of the CVT sump, I ripped in with my other car to collect this. Upon reading further, this stuff is not compatible with the CVTF-J1. Ouch! Now I need to dump this and put in another $85 bottle.Notes: 01/2012 -->, if Mitsubishi CVTF-J4 Fluid Is Required. for Use Outside Of Warranty
