My Suzuki Swift gearbox wasn't shifting as smooth as it used to be anymore. The previous Hi-Tec API-GL4 had only been in the box for 35000km. This Penrite oil makes it shift like a new one again at 175000km. Would definitely recommend!!

Though this oil is more costly than other oils the benefits are worth the cost. My Unimog had a crunchy shift into 5th gear and sometimes stiff to shift into other gears, had to really force it! Since changing out the old oil and replacing it with Penrite Pro Gear Oil the shifting is very smooth no more stiffness with shifting into gears and the crunch into 5th gear is gone! Well worth it compared to having a broken gearbox

Got recommended this instead for my gearbox for a lancer. Made a huge difference over the oem oil. Smooth shifting.

Recommended for early VW beetle transmissions by a VW specialist/master.Great aussie made oil.Absolutely TERRIBLE filler tube supplied with bottle. Spilt ~200ml of oil!Have a better plan than using the filler supplied or have plenty of rags handy
The gearbox is a 5 speed manual very noisy and hard to shift, this oil made shift change easy and there is less noise coming from the gearbox now

Real life review and comparisonGearbox has 300K quiet but can be slightly notchy, originally went Castrol VMXm GL4 but realized after a few days the shifts were made worse. Dumped the oil, went back to Repco and bought Penrite synth Pro Gear GL4 this improved shifts.This is the same gearbox oil I use in my vintage motorcycle

This was chosen to change out the factory manual gear box oil for a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 .I' ve used Penrite products in all my critical componet oils. Superior quality and they exceed the OEM specifications. Excellent performance in a manual gear box. Shifts are always smoother with fully synthetic oil.
