I have a large inground concrete pool. I bought this at the beginning of last summer and was taking it out of my garage and in the pool to every other day or every 3rd day. It cleaned awesome, sides and even steps. At the beginning of this season, I pulled it out of the garage, set it up and accidentally dropped the power supply into the pool. This was not good, it did not turn back on. So i went online, bought another one, which was $300. I thought, well that's not horrible either for such a great thing. While waiting for the second supply, i took apart the first one. I put it all in rice and dumped rice like right into the unit. After 24 hours, shook as much rice out of the technology cracks and low and behold, it is working. It's been 3 weeks and it's still going ... MoreI have a large inground concrete pool. My Kreepy Krawly stopped Kreeping or Krawling only after four days of use. I feel that this was an anomoly as many of these work for several years. The seller helped facilitate a return and Pentair stood behind the product and accepted the return without issue. With that said, I would invest in the extended warranty no matter which one you get. While it worked it did a great job, cleaned our ECO Finnish Pool, tile waterline and steps. The product was good except for the remote and the instructions leave something to be desired in my mind. The remote seems that there is much more capabilities than there actually is. Just his the power button and let it do its thing, the 123 buttons are for the number of times per week to run, but you have to leave the thing in the ... This robotic cleaner is simply to use and light enough for me to easily pull out of the pool to clean afterwards (and I'm not very strong!). It does a great job getting all of the debris cleaned from the bottom or the pool. It does travel up the sides of the pool to clean the tile as well. It doesn't make it up on top of our tanning ledge or stairs though so we do have to brush that my hand before we start the vacuum...not a big deal. Overall the product does a great job. My only negative is that this vacuum doesn't seem to follow any thought out path. It's different every time so I feel that I need to run it more often to ensure that all areas of the pool are being scrubbed clean. FYI...we have a freeform concrete pool.

I previously had Polaris cleaner and it was awesome. Moved quickly over the entire pool. When it broke I tried to buy same model but was told I could only get parts. Bought Prowler 920 yesterday. I am on clean cycle number 5 and pool still not clean. I am very proactive on cleaning and maintenance. Not one leave in pool just dirt and some worms..Did not buy it because it can scrub sides as I hand washed those but was told very efficient and scrubbed bottom of pool. This thing is so bad I am trying to return it. Gets stuck on main drains, does not clean pool on a single cycle..will say it's easy to use and clean..DO NOT purchase..total waste of money
I was looking for a good quality robot pool cleaner that was value for money. The Pool and Spa Warehouse made a recommendation based on our pool size and local conditions. A google search found that the recommended product came up regularly in several review sites so we proceeded to buy one. It was sent out the next day and arrived in only a few days. It definitely lives up to it's promise and does all the floor, walls and water line, removing all the fine dust that gets blown in from the surrounding building works! Great Buy!
The media could not be loaded. We love this! Our pool place recommended it and also said we could get it for less on Home Essentials Direct than from them. It saves my husband from having to spend 2 hours cleaning the pool. The pool was about 20 years old when we bought the house and had the main drain covered. That can make getting enough suction to clean the pool VERY difficult. We also believe we may have a leak in our line between our skimmer basket and the pump/filter because we get bubbles. This also makes suction to clean difficult! This product has made my husband fall in love with our pool again! We plug it in and let it go, it runs a few hours very similar to a roomba but for your pool! Once done we open the basket that collects the debris and wash it with ... Once done we open the basket that collects the debris and wash it with the garden hose and then thoroughly rinse the unit the same way, allow to dry and then place in our storage shed! We run it 3 times a week as we usually only swim on the weekends, so Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
2nd prowler 920 broken in 3 years. Both models now need motors. Moved onto polaris. No more dolphin tries. Junk models won't last.
We had a Pentair 820 and it did a fantastic job, so naturally, when it died we bought another Pentair newer model 920. WHAT A MISTAKE. Filters on the 920 are way easier to clean, but that's it. No power cord strain relief grip, does not not vacuum as well. We are running it 3 days a week to clean pool. biggest problem is it does not climb the side very well, lots of slipping and falling back down. Also it will try to climb out of the pool but just sits half in water half out just spinning, sure that is putting lots of wear on it.
