Pepperjack Barossa Shiraz 750ml

(113 reviews)

The Pepperjack range is a tribute to the Barossa's rich heritage and our passion for the region. This wine exemplifies this gaining 93 points from James Halliday. Rich red in colour with purple hues, this wine displays aromas of blackberries and plums with hints of pepper and spice. The palate is rich and plush with good structure. There is a concentrated layers of blackberry, blue fruits and oak which is balanced with soft layers of tannins to give length and finesse while finishing soft and full of flavour. Unashamedly the perfect partner for steak.Since its release Pepperjack Shiraz has consistently received the honour of being Australia’s Number 1 red wine by value. Traditional winemaking techniques and an eye to modern styles allow us to create wines that are synonymous with the regions they are from. Rich, honest wines that showcase the regions in their most natural light.

Love my Pepperjack Shiraz. Always great, even better when on special. It's my go to red!

An opaque, top-end and gutsy Barossa Shiraz.

While Pepperjack lends itself to immediate drinking, I like to lie it down for a few years. The 2016 and 2018 are most palatable and worthy the wait.

Awesome Red

Beautiful Red
25 July 2016

I didn't want to fall victim to the Pepperjack craze, but when I saw a deal in store recently, I thought I'd find out what the fuss was about. I cracked open my bottle after a long day at work, let it breathe for half an hour and had a glass. Wasn't fussed and left it for a few days. Best idea. This wine really is a delight after longer aeration.

A very good wine and dependably good quality. It's good to just sip and excellent with a meal.

Enjoyable Shiraz
24 October 2017

An affordable and reliable Barossa Shiraz.A rich, inky colour, ripe fruit balanced by firm acid backbone. Hints of spice and pepper. Great length and intensity. Would benefit from a year or two of cellaring.

My staple shiraz
9 September 2022

I cannot go past this shiraz, it's full bodied and full of dark fruit. Goes so smashing well with a steak or anything bold.

NICE AND SMOOTH
25 November 2021

This is the second order of Pepperjack Shiraz we've ordered through FC. It's a smooth shiraz, mid priced for everyday drinking.

Not so good
1 December 2021

Read the good reviews, and bought a bottle. Looks the part in the glass, deep rich red fruity colour, but could not tast the hints of fruit, I could not detect any sweetness.Actually was a little sour and I forced myself to drink the whole bottle and it just didn't get any better.
