Not to beat a dead hor... err, repeat myself, but this game is fun. It is a fast, lite game that scales well to higher player counts. If you like Camel Up, this game will be in your wheelhouse. My only criticism, is a slight production issue. Some of the horse meeples (heeples?, horples?), were printed a bit crooked. But, that is a minor nit picky thing and doesn't detract from the game. Highly recommend.

Long Shot: The Dice Game is a blast. It's a nice package for a good price and plays up to 8. It's got a bit of strategy with a healthy dose of luck. It's a good filler for a large group. This is not for your group if they don't like a little chaos and yelling as the dice are rolled.

Long Shot-the Dice Game is a fantastic roll-and-write version of the classic board game. It distills all the fun, excitement and suspense of gambling on horse racing down to a 30min experience. For a roll-and-write, the strategy is surprisingly deep. Simply put, Long Shot is the best filler game around at the moment. Get it!

I’ve played the original game previously and had heard that this would/could replace the original game in a collection. This game was a lot of fun and will be replacing the original in my collection. Was easy to teach and the dice rolling added a bit more of engagement for my group. Would recommend.
I was very excited to receive Long Shot: The Dice Game because it looked like a perfect fit for my family where everyone would have fun playing it. The game didn't disappoint! It's a well-paced game with a perfect blend of luck and strategy. It gives you fun levers to pull to influence the result of the race and your winnings at the end. In our first game, the entire podium was decided by one dice roll because so many horses were right at the finish line! It was a super exciting finish and I'm looking forward to playing it again!

Long Shot the dice game is a fun roll and write with suspense for each roll of the dice. Will the chunky screen printed wooden horse you have spent all your money on win the race? Will your opponents enjoying all the conessions pocket some cash or slow your horse down? Can you get your jockey to keep your horse moving along with the others and win the race.Each roll affects everyone and their decisions can make an immediate impact or add to a horses chances for the best payout. Save your cash and buy up the lead horse to gain the winners bonus. Once 3rd place crosses the line add up all you winnings and bets to see who the big winner is. In reality it is anyone who plays.
Love this game! It is easy to understand and play through the first time for most ages (we played with agree 8-35). It seemed at first to be filled with fun randomness. And it did have that, but it deceives you. The randomness is a facade that quickly reveals a similarity to actual horse betting. The more you pay attention to the horses, the better odds you have at winning. Plus I love everyone having their own board to write on and the components are you great to play with. Would recommend to basically anyone.
Fun game for family night or with a group of friends. Takes about one full game to learn and understand all the actions. Once you’re in, you’re good though. Played multiple rounds with different decks/horses. Highly recommended.
Always a fun game to get out for new or experienced players. Everyone starts rooting for certain horses and works to get their horse to win. Mostly the luck of the dice but there are ways to change the luck in your favor at times. Overall, fun and moderately light game!
