An ideal introduction to the floral, stylish and diamond-cut style of the House of Perrier-Jouet. The colour is pale and sparkling yellow robe, suggestive of vivacity. The Grand Brut's aroma is delicate and balanced. The striking freshness and vivacity of the floral and fruity fragrances (yellow fruits and fresh fruits) take root, before giving way to subtle notes of vanilla and butter, lending the wine a fruity and consistent character. The notes of cherry plum, lemon and bergamot orange emerge first, then make way for the flowers of fruit trees, such as lime and honeysuckle. These are followed by notes of butter, madeleine cakes and vanilla sugar. Lingering notes of grapefruit, white peaches, green pears, apple trees and green hazelnuts round off the taste. Ampleness and vivacity balance out in the mouth, developing into a flavour of round and vinous elegance. A fresh, balanced champagne with a long finish. Its flavours are well revealed between seven and nine degrees. The dosage is 10 g/L, 12 to 14 percent of the reserve wines (wines from two or three previous years). The House of Perrier-Jouet, with its prestigious vineyards and purest of champagne - making traditions, is recognised for the finesse of its wines - the result of a distinct heritage safe-guarded by just seven cellar-masters since 1811. Contains sulphur dioxide/sulphites.

This premium champagne has a beautiful bright golden yellow colour, with persistent bubbles. It is very frank on the palate with a freshness. On the nose, aromas of pear, white peach and grapefruit. A real treat! This Grand Brut Perrier-Jouët is as good as it gets.

Bubbly at its finest and the bottle looks so elegant - very classic! Had some friends over yesterday and we celebrated lockdown birthdays. Lovely and fruity and oh so creamy - it went down a treat. Everything was just right, not overly sweet, not overly bubbly. I just hope my friends don't think they will be getting this everytime they come over!

It was my husband's birthday so I decided to buy something a little bit better than our usual fizz and I am so glad I chose this. For a start the cork came out with a satisfying POP without the contents fizzing all over the place. Small bubbles which effervesced no the tongue for a delightful experience. Slightly sweeter than I was expecting but still really lovely. I couldn't tell you what grapes it was made from, or what the "bouquet" or "aftertaste" were, we just know we really liked it and will definitely buy it again for a special occasion.
Took a while to choose a Champagne for a celebration and found this one. First created in 1846 and clearly just got better over the centuries. Delicate and well balanced flavourt. Good mix of red grapes dominate with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. You can taste hints of cherry, apricot, ginger and honey. Elegant bottle to round off the perfection!
I was not as impressed as most reviewers are. This is an entry level champagne from this house and it doesnt stand up that well within the price range of its competitors. Their top shelf champagne is superior, but this one is a money spinner. There is a very dry burnt toast and floral taste that is not balanced out by too much acid. The overall experience is messy, heavy and hard work. Im sorry to say, but its quite poor.
I do like a glass of "fizz" and usually choose Prosecco or Cava but for my husband's "special" birthday we purchased a bottle of this and, oh, it was wonderful. Beautifully dry and crisp (I can't abide sweet wines) with tiny bubbles which are seductive on the tongue. It looked fabulous in the glass and although I'm not a wine connoisseur so I couldn't start to tell you what grapes it's made with or what the "aftertaste" is, but I just know that I really, really liked it and would definitely buy it again for a special occasion.
