If you like or love RPGs and haven’t yet played ANY Persona game - you are missing out. Especially with this one. It follows the protagonist in a high school setting becoming entangled in shadow fighting and trying to maintain work/life balance at the same time. Game performs well and the graphics are likened to a comic book. Only complaint is the need to play stealth and I personally don’t like having to use it in games but it does not take away from how fun this game is!

Absolutely love this game its so entertaining

I only bought this like a week ago, but I am already basically finished. It’s so fun and so addicting. I would hundred percent recommend to everyone as anyone can enjoy this game. this game was the first one I bought in the persona franchise and it’s making me want to buy them all from the interesting characters to the amazing gameplay this game is a 10 out of 10

Persona 5 is quite possibly the highest quality RPG ever made, no exaggeration. Compared to most others in the genre which focus on a basic story stitched together between random battles and sidequests this stands as a pillar of video game achievement by being able to have a good story and gameplay that feel relevant and interwoven throughout the entire 80 hour experience. Of course, the most obvious stand-out feature of the game is the pure style exuded by every minute detail and it honestly never gets old. Some sidequests are also hidden behind certain upgrades to stats, but both of these issues are easily negated by the superb New Game Plus that retains just enough from your original playthrough that it feels interesting for multiple playthroughs.Persona 5 is a crowning achievement for RPGs and the perfect game for the 20th anniversary of such a phenominal series.

Amazing gem I didnt know I'd find.

Such an amazing game! From the characters to the gameplay and even the soundtrack I found everything amazing. The story captivates you and puls you in. You truly feel a part of it and I even found it hard to put my controller down! The gameplay is beautiful from the areas you can explore to the levels in which you climb about to sneak around to get through. It is all thought out perfectly and your always wondering the best way to pass the level. The battle system even though its turn based they still make it fast and smooth never leaving you bored or just spamming a button to move on. You need to think about how to beat the enemy whether that's by brute force or knowing your enemy and using a sucession of critical hits. Best JRPG for newcomers

Persona 5 is one of the best JRPG for newcomers to the genre. With it's wonderful set of colourful characters and very striking it beautiful visuals and soundtrack, I can't think of a better place for some one to get into JRPG's. The size of the game is a bit daunting however it really helps you get into it very quickly. For the size of the game you can easily get 80 to 120 hours of content which makes it definitely worth it for the price. I would definitely recommend this.

Best game in the series

This game is my absolute favourite in the series, joker is the best character throughout the persona world. The gameplay is extremely fun although a little restrictive at times, For it been a turn based game which usually I would never normally play, this is an extremely addictive game. My love for joker has me completely enthralled, I find it hard to put the game down. The game is a bit pricey if buying brand new, but honestly its money well spent. Buying it second hand for cheaper was merely a stroke of luck for me, but I would have paid whatever I had to for the game. My only issue with this game is the lack of a female protagonist option, I dislike been forced to play the opposite gender to my own. Cool Characters, Cool Music, Cool Style

First of all, this version is basically obsolete with Royal out, but for how cheap it is (I got it for $11!) and for how long it is (100 hours!!), you're seeing tremendous value. Even then, you can always buy this version and buy Royal later depending on how you felt about this game.And for the game itself, it's one of the best RPGs of this era. This game is oozing in style, making turn-based battles less of a slog. Voice acting (for English) is on point. And the music!! Takes a while to "get it", but once you do, it's hard to get the tunes out of your head.My major complaint is the pacing of the story overall. For example there are 12 different stat types for each enemy, but only one is its weakness. Figuring out the enemy's weakness, knowing when to heal, when to defend, and when to attack, or even negotiating to gain the enemy's power all force the player to constantly analyse. Also, there are 5 difficulty levels which give players of all skill levels the right experience.Outside of combat though, is an enormous world with dozens of events to take part in. Hanging out with friends at a noodle shop while talking about interesting things is not only fun, but increases the characters repertoire with them, which ultimately increases their confidant rank. Each friend in the game, is part of a confidant. For example, one friend might be the moon confidant while another may be death Each confidant possess their own powers and with over a dozen, deciding which friends to hang out with will ultimately determine your battle style. Rejecting one friend to hang with another is no different than real life, but it's this realism which makes this facet of the game all the more engaging. This confident system extends to combat as well, giving the player certain abilities which are mandatory for defeating the shadows that lurk nearby.The story will not be covered in this review because it's so unique and complex, that talking about any of it would ruin the experience. Just know that it's not a generic story and will take nearly 90 hours to finish. The game does take place in a modern day Tokyo with all of it's feature fully intact. Attending school is also a big part of the story. The teacher will ask questions and if the player gives the correct answer, their knowledge stat (one of many) will increase. Personal stats affect the player out and what he can achieve outside of combat, while battle stats determine both the style of the players strategy and the difficulty of the fights.The style and music are addicting too! Bright shades of red, black, yellow, and blue flourish through the screen like a katana gracefully parting a body in two. Catchy jazz fills the ambiance of the city when outside of combat, but while on the battlefield, sounds as if it's making sweet love to Marilyn Monroe just before her death.In short, Persona 5 is a must have for any gamer. From the strategic combat, unique story, and diverse array of activities, to the eye popping visuals, catchy music, and many options for difficulty, this game will immerse the player for many months to come.

And she wants you to take her home to meet your mum.Lauren wants me to tell you how great Persona 5, how it's intuitive UI, strong story telling, and likeable characters are. She wants me to tell you about how the game is fun to play, full of highly amusing pop culture references, solid JRPG combat, and is just generally fun to play for literally hundreds of hours.Lauren, lovely Lauren also wants me to say how lucky I should feel to have been able to find this game as it's a nightmare to get hold of a copy.In short, Lauren wants me to say that Atlus have done a wonderful job with Persona 5 and that CEX delivered promptly, and at a reasonable price.So, I just did.Hopefully now that lovely girl, the one with the cute pigtails and Pikachu shirt, quietly munching her Quality Street upstairs will now be happy and will allow me to win that cash incentive. Or let me out of the basement she locked me in until I wrote a nice review.
