When it comes to the story, it is definitely filler, in this case it's separate from the main Persona 5/ Persona 5 Royal games. The gameplay is definitely on the tactical side (that's the "tactica" part of the name), and it's actually easy to pick up on the gameplay mechanics. It also encourages you to experiment with your party lineup (some give you movement bonuses, some give attack bonuses, etc.)Definitely an enjoyable game, one you will probably spend a decent amount of hours on.

This is a spinoff game from Persona 5 featuring the main crew in a new situation. Tactica is a different genre however, and not for everyone. I haven't beaten this one yet because I'm still working on completing the main game. From what I've played though, I love it!Also- it arrived faster than I expected and even the plastic wrap on it wasn't damaged in any way! I did have the take the plastic off to play it though. :p10/10 service!

Spending more time with the gang is welcome, and the srpg combat is intuitive and complex enough that it works nicely even for beginners to the genre.The wrinkle here is that if you're unfamiliar with the Persona 5 cast, you'll get less out of Tactics. Less references, less characterization and more fully realized relationships. However, the story is enjoyable, and there are new characters to carry on the game with so newcomers can play and it'll be fine. For any Persona fan, I'd say pick this up.

The Persona 5 spin-off has, yet again, exceeded my expectations. While the game as a whole doesn't match the super high bar set by Persona 5 Strikers (which had more of the RPG elements Persona fans would hope to see in a game), it still goes WAY harder than I thought it would. Not only is the tactical turn-based combat fresh and genuinely fun to play, but the story hit some surprisingly good emotional beats too so for serious P5 fans, this is a must-recommend
The levels are well-designed and the music is pleasing to the ears, especially in the Velvet Room. I thought there was too much dialogue and the story was underwhelming. I just didn’t care about the new characters. And the boss battles were poorly designed and not enjoyable. I wouldn’t play it again.
Cool Persona 5 tactics game. The characters have been made into more Chibi art style. A game that requires more strategy than just sending strong attacks towards enemy characters. Decent game and recommend playing the other Persona 5 games before this one since you may get lost if this is your first Persona 5 game. It is a more casual and easier game than other Persona games.
Good game. It's basically Persona Lite. The tactical battles are somewhat easy, but ramps up a bit during bosses. Enemies don't have any weaknesses, so go with whatever elements you like best.The persona/fusion system is far quicker than in a standard Persona game. No minigames, but lots of dialog is still present. Most of it voiced, but there are some parts that aren't.If you aren't familiar with Persona 5, you may be a bit lost with the characterization. However, the story will still make sense.Playtime: 20hrs if you skip dialog, 40hrs if you go through it. 50hrs if you do all the side content like quests.
It makes me happy to see Persona 5 getting the "tactics" treatment.If you're a fan of the Persona series, Final Fantasy Tactics, or any of the other top notch games in the genre, I feel like this won't let you down.Seriously though; it seems like there is Atlus' stylish UI design, and then there is everybody else. They are on a different level!With a flashy style and great music, there isn't much to be negative about!
