From Pesado 58.5 a precision 58.5mm coffee tamper. At 405g this precision tamper is big old unit. Weight isn't the be all and end all in a tamper as it is yer arm that puts the pressure on the puck but you certainly get a good feel from this tamper. The 90° edge on thebtper ensures maximum basket coverage and the sharp edges extend the efective tamping area to cover more of the basket. Better tamping reduces untamped grounds, this should reduce the likelyhood of channeling and result in better extraction. Can I guarantee this? Of course not. Puck prep, grind quality, etc etc will all play their part and so this can only help you on the way to coffee Nirvana.
