Peter Lehmann Portrait Shiraz 750ml

(23 reviews)

When the grape harvest in 1978 showed a surplus, Peter Lehmann was asked by his employer at the time not to take over the harvest. However, he refused to do so. In order to secure the existence of more than 200 winegrowers, he set up his own business and built a modern winery. From then on, wines of consistently high quality were produced there, thanks to a perfectly playing partnership between the winegrowers and the highly motivated and expert Lehmann team. Peter Lehmann - a name that is already a legend in the wine sector today. It is no coincidence that he is also called the Baron of the Barossa Valley. He is also the bearer of the Order of Australia awarded by Queen Elizabeth. The Peter Lehmann wines have received fame all over the world through countless awards, medals and outstanding reviews. Peter Lehmann has already been honored three times as the best producer in Australia.

Peter Lehmann made the Barossa what it is today. Looking after the hard working farmers who put their knowledge and passion into their wines. This is the "go too" for Barossa Shiraz under $20 nuff said

What more can be said about Peter Lehman wines. The Portrait is smooth with just the right of fruit on the palette. And a lovely taste at the end another classic from this great winery and on special why wouldn’t you get a few. A classic

Whilst cellaring for 6-7 years will improve this delightful wine, if you drink it now make sure you let it breathe for a bit. Beautiful wine at under $10 at the moment it’s a bargain not to be missed

What a robust drop
19 September 2021

We enjoyed a few glasses of this rich drop with moussaka and salad tonight. Light tannin with a rich full bodied flavour. 4.5Would I buy it again? Yes I'd buy a box of it. I'm a pale ale beer and white wine consumer usually, so I might not be the best reviewer but this stuff has plenty of bang for the buck.
