I got this for my 8 yr old daughter to use with a kong duck ascender when she climbs trees up to a treestand. Very smooth operation even for her little hands. The red color letting her know it's locked is perfect and the oval shape fits right through the ascender.

I bought it to replace a broken anchor of my 11yo TRX suspension trainer and it's perfect for this use.
Would not recommend. Used less than 10 times and the locking mechanism jammed (and will not open). Fortunately I was able to untie my master point and retrieve my static rope. Had this been used in any number of other climbing circumstances, the results could have been much more extreme. Do not buy.

Satisfied with the purchase in general. Good price. At Petzl OK Screw Look, the quality is what Petzl is accustomed to. Very light, sturdy, good thread. Your resistance only time will tell. GOOD
It locks up when you least expect it. I had done one up through my shoes (God knows why I decided to) and it wouldn't open. 10 strikes with a hatchet later, I broke it open. The screw gate had never shown signs of wear or grime deep inside the locking mechanism, but one day it decided to lock up. I didn't jump straight to a hatchet, mind you. I used a wrench, then channel locks, then I threw it on a vise and slammed it with a mallet–no good. I shouldn't even have to expend that much energy to open a carabiner. God forbid I was up on a wall when this happened...
Petzl makes good gear, and this carabiner is no exception. Smooth locking sleeve action, decently large gate opening, lightweight aluminum frame and all the benefits of an oval carabiner with symmetrical loading (good for pulleys, ascenders, trolleys etc.). The Petzl OK carabiner is more than just OK!!
I used this for several weeks then I brought it backpacking to hold my water shoes in a non-sandy area. After two days of carrying shoes the locking mechanism was jamming. By the third day it was completely jammed and I could not open it. I would not recommend this due to the possibility of not being able to open it. (I'm a pretty strong dude too).
