Playing at 1080p on a monitor this size is very noticeable, you can make out the pixels easily. However, 1440p is a good compromise. I recommend this monitor, it's cheap and seems to be of reasonable quality.

I initially made the mistake of buying a 43" 4k "smart monitor" that doubled as a TV - the sharpness at close range and colour reproduction was way off. This time around I went for essentially a 43" monitor-first, and this definintely fit the bill. I'm not a gamer, I just needed the screen real-estate for work and this delivered in spades - unlike my older 32" which I ran at 125% screen scaling to be able to read the tiny words, this one I can run at 100% and utilise the huge area effectively. Would I recommend this monitor? Yep most definintely.

I have found using this screen for over 12 hours per day for the past 3 - 4 a positive overall experience. The screen is set up in our home office/guest bedroom so also acts as a TV when guests stay. The multiple HDMI ports make it easy to connect multiple device up to. We have a chromecast set up so guests can enjoy streaming direct to the monitor. Light in our office is good so we don't experience reflection issues as others have portrayed. The stand is somewhat clunky and a bit ugly but there are universal mounting points on the rear of the screen which a center mount stand could be connected to if desired. The sound from the in built speakers are average, at best. The screen width is rather substantial making it not so sleek design wise. The remote (Although very basic) is a nice touch (especially for watching in bed) and PIP could be great if watching TV in the background on another device/port while working on PC. For the money and compared to other screens, I feel its a decent purchase which does the job well. You'll never want to go back to a tiny screen once used.

Literally the day someone else posted a review regarding this monitor not having an anti-glare coating, I bought one. Had I known I certainly wouldn't have. I only got around to opening the box this week to find the same problem - it's unusable if there's any light source behind you. I work with a black background to reduce eyestrain. This is unacceptable - it is not the 1990s.

I put 4 stars because it is not a bad monitor, but that is not exactly what I need. I need home office monitor to work 8hrs/day and that monitor is TOO BIG for that. So, is TOO WIDE, but the biggest problem the top side of the monitor is TOO HIGH. Looking other reviews for 43" that is common problem and people injure their necks. Just be aware that the bigger does not always mean better! So, I endup resizing window to ~35" to avoid strain on neck / eyes to look up too high. Also, I decreased resolution to less than 4K, because I am shortsighted, but that is just for me. To play games this monitor is also too big even on my big table 80cm deep. To play games this monitor is also too big even on my big table 80cm deep. Yes, that has way higher level of reflection than typical business monitor. That is kind of reflection from MacBook glare screen. Setting it brighter then default setting helped with reflection for me. Actually, that is clearly written in the specification: Screen Coating - 3H, Haze 1% (Usually for business monitors that is - Anti-Glare, 3H, Haze 25%) Also, it has no height/tilt adjustment and tilting slightly down, but actually that helps with reflection. So, I am thinking to sell it and buy 32" monitor with height/tilt adjustment and anti-glare coating. Nevertheless, that is not a bad monitor. That is just no working for me. IPS matrix. Good image in 4K. Good for watching movies with big screen. A lot of ports. Good price for such size and 4K. Remote control, but I have not used it. Just be aware of issues I mentioned above. Hope that helps.

Cannot disable deep sleep on this monitor
5 July 2022

I hate this monitor because I cannot disable the deep sleep mode on this monitor. I don't mind it going into standby mode to reduce power usage but it MUST wake up when the computer wakes up without requiring a special signal to be sent to it from the computer. It was a cheaper monitor so I should not be surprised that this lower cost 4K monitor is also lower in quality.

Completely happy with the product. Decided to play Blade Runner 2049 on it and watch some Star Wars the Old Republic cinematic trailers on it. And let's just say I never realized what I was missing out on!!! To any curious, worth the buy, great visuals and as big as a TV.

Great but...
30 May 2022

It is too big for the distance from you on any standard work desk, but you can adjust your active window size to whatever you want. Using the Rectangle App (Mac) you can comfortably display 6 windows at once. Although your computer needs to be able to keep up, so for static sites this is fine, but if you have videos an average computer will struggle. The two-leg stand [versus single central] limits the size desk it can sit on (note: stand is sturdy). Although, given its size this is understandable. Suggestion: given its size, it seems a missed opportunity to put in some decent speaker drivers for well rounded sounds with some low range. My friend's new 13" macbook pro sounds significantly better.

Great value for money, a bit glossy
31 January 2023

I like this monitor for its clarity of text and that it replaces multiple monitors on my desk. I have both this 43" and another 32". I've come to the conclusion that if you want multiple screens 43" is better but if you want a single screen with lots of text, it is easier to have a 32", 43" becomes a little too big if you're sitting close to it. I'm a programmer so the space means I can see large amounts of code and big spreadsheets. At this size the screen can comfortably be divided up (Windows can do it natively with shortcut keys or you can use an app). It's great for a Zoom/Teams call where you can see lots of people at once. It's decent for watching Youtube/Netflix videos too but a bit basic for heavy gaming (only 60hz). It's decent for watching Youtube/Netflix videos too but a bit basic for heavy gaming (only 60hz). The sound is fine for video calls and general use. Note that HDR depends on the input cable type (HDMI). Recommend getting a heavy duty monitor arm (I had to get a 200-400mm VESA adaptor as many arms only go to 200mm) so that the monitor is further back on your desk. The legs that come with the monitor are sturdy. I don't like that it is so glossy that natural sunlight makes it hard to see, not recommended for really bright rooms. I also wish I could turn off auto selection of inputs, makes it hard to get to the boot screen if two computers are connected. Also the flashing standby light is really bright if it's going to be in a bedroom, I have to turn off the monitor completely. The monitor generates a fair amount of heat, in my tiny office next to the bedroom it needs ventilation in summer.
