This 4K tv with the latest 2016 frills such as HEVC, HDR and Android, is being sold for up to 40% off retail. At such a low price, I can forgive the slightly dim 300-nit screen, which I find is the only major shortcoming.A previous review mentions limited app availability as it isn't a full android system but I think the firmware version I have my set on is fully functional with apps on Google Play Store. In fact, I use the optical digital output daily and it works fine with my AV amp, so the previous poor review needs to be attributed to taken with a pinch of salt.Overall, this is a competent 4K tv that hopefully gets better with firmware updates. As it is now, if you can get a good discount, I think the set lowers the barrier to entry to the world of 4K goodness!

software upgrade is slow compare to Europe similar model 55PUS7101 which is already at android 7.1.2.This model is still currently at android 6. there i not much focus on software for philips tv..
