The Philips-7000 Series DST7020/20 HV Steam Iron does what its supposed to do. I had no issues using it and it was great at getting the creases out. The iron is a little on the heavy side and it comes with a decent cord length and a large visible water tank. The temperature dial is very large so you will definitely be able to set the right temperature thats needed. Unfortunately it doesnt come with a jug for refilling and the instructions are mostly pictograms which are the only negatives.

First thing I noticed about this iron was that it was really well made - it is heavy, my wife thinks it's a bit too bulky, but for me it was perfect. It does exactly what is expected for an iron and I haven't had to use the steam hardly at all because it irons really well. We live in a hard water area so it has a handy feature that where it collects the limescale, which I hope will mean it lasts longer than our previous iron.I had read some reviews that said the lead was too short but to be honest it's the same as our previous one and didn't cause us any problems.Overall a great product and we have no complaints whatsoever.

The Philips steam iron looks good and ironed really well, it glided smoothly over all my clothes, thanks to the SteamGlide Plus sole plate with enhanced scratch resistance. It has a large 300 ml water tank, that was really easy to fill from my kitchen tap, which lasted throughout my ironing pile and did not drip out at all.The dial is large and easy to use, has a setting for extra steam boost if you need it or no steam. I particularly loved being able to steam fabrics upright rather than using an ironing board, I steamed my curtains which now look lovely and smooth and crease free.It got to temperature quickly and removed all creases. This iron is definitely an upgrade on my previous model , it doesn’t take any effort to iron over and the results are very quick , I love that it comes with an easy to use dial to pick the type of material you will be ironing so the temperature is preset and won’t risk ruining your item you are ironing. It comes with a 2m length of cord which a little shorter than my previous model but it’s not a big issue just depends on your socket location. It is very comfortable to hold and has a very nice stainless steel soleplate which is also scratch resistant, there is a yellow box at the bottom that you can remove , this is the Quick Calc descaler to make it easier to clean your iron.It also has Drip-stop to prevent water drops marking your clothing, it’s a really great ... MoreThis iron is definitely an upgrade on my previous model , it doesn’t take any effort to iron over and the results are very quick , I love that it comes with an easy to use dial to pick the type of material you will be ironing so the temperature is preset and won’t risk ruining your item you are ironing. It comes with a 2m length of cord which a little shorter than my previous model but it’s not a big issue just depends on your socket location. It is very comfortable to hold and has a very nice stainless steel soleplate which is also scratch resistant, there is a yellow box at the bottom that you can remove , this is the Quick Calc descaler to make it easier to clean your iron.It also has Drip-stop to prevent water drops marking your clothing, it’s a really great iron that does the job , you don’t need a fancy iron with all those things you never use, this is a great iron with the brand you can trust.
In my busy house of six, it feels as though I'm Cindy ironing shirts and trousers for school and work uniform so it's good to have an iron that is lightweight and comfortable to hold. This Philips steam iron is just that. It's light so my arm doesn't feel tired after using it and the grip and control is easygoing. I would say the placement of the settings underneath the handle is an issue as I found that I would catch my fingers on it when setting the iron down, thus changing the temperature setting. The iron is easy to fill with ironing water and has variable steam setting. I leave this setting in the middle as it does the job well. Creases are no more and there's no burn or heat marks left on the clothing. It's a good iron.
This is a great iron and a premium quality brand. It is so simple to use, very easy to fill up the water tank and heats up within seconds, so you can start ironing straight away. What I also like about the tank is that it is clear so I can notice when it is running low on water so that I can top it up. This is very helpful for me as I like to always use the steam mode when I iron. The iron itself is very light, even when filled up with water, it glides so easily and I can quickly iron my clothes in half the time as just one glide and the fabric is ironed so I do not have to keep repeating on the same spot of material to get the creases out. Even with the heavy creased linen fabric it irons it quickly. The cord is the right size for me personally as too long cords ... MoreThis is a great iron and a premium quality brand. It is so simple to use, very easy to fill up the water tank and heats up within seconds, so you can start ironing straight away. This iron replaced an older Philips model and I am more than happy with how this model performs. It glides smoothly over all types of fabric and the heat settings are clear and easy to adjust with a dial. The weight of the iron is just right, heavy enough to be effective but not so much so that it’s uncomfortable to iron a large load. In terms of appearance, it also looks very sleek and modern. Overall I have been very happy with how it performs, despite not being a natural when it comes to ironing!
So I’ll admit, I don’t tend to iron much but as the kids are going back to school and I have a school hour job, hubby has to do some washing when I’m out! He’s not very good at hanging things up to dry properly meaning that items NEED ironing. Here’s why I needed an iron again. I thought I’d have a go as I do like new shiny things and it soooo delivered! The steam function is amazing and just blows all the crinkles out of the water!! Fab and even I don’t mind doing a bit of ironing now
The iron itself is a good, glides easily, steams well – does all the things you’d expect from a good iron. Have used it a few times on a variety of clothing and have no complaints at all.Just a slightly longer cord would make life a lot easier. It glides smoothly over the clothes and removes the creases. It is a stylish iron which suits my needs.
I really like the iron, very light and easy. It irons well like 95% rom the first use. The iron heats up very quickly and you can control the temperature yourself. I usually use tap water because the iron has a limescale cleaning functionthe iron is non-stick and very easy to clean. also I ironed the curtain with vertical steam function without using the table and it is so comfortable it removes wrinkles so quicklyhighly recommended
