Lovely to hold too, such a great design. I've used epilators for many years and this one is fantastic. The efficiency is brilliant, no pain, so many other attachments to use for all sort of beauty treatments. The one for gentle epilating is fab, first time I've never had sore underarms. The guiding tool is also great and it just made the whole treatment so much quicker, easier and gentler. I used the bikini shaving tool with comb and that was so gentle too. Not used the other 3 heads yet. Not used it in water either.

I was regularly getting a Brazilian wax and since I have an older plugin model of Phillips; I decided to get the newest model. I wish I would have been doing a Brazilian wax years ago so then I would have had this awesome machine. I am currently using it on my thighs and my pubic area from front to backside and anything in between. I’m hairless from my waist to my knees. Thanks to this machine. I would add photos but being of the areas it might be offensive. Definitely use this after a shower and I’ve tried the attachments and prefer not to use them. The head of the machine I prefer against my skin.

Although the pedicure head is really for dry skin for the feet, not around nails (well maybe, but too big for that purpose). The epilator itself is less painful compared to my Braun (old model). I did feel it needed a few passes on some areas but still okay. The shaver is good too. I still have to try the other attachments but generally happy with this. Love the click and collect from my local Shaver Shop, order is ready for pick up within 2 hours.

Fantastic piece of equipment, so much better than I expected. Charges quickly and doesn't use much power. Great to have a cordless one to use anywhere without having to keep plugging it in. Lovely to hold too, such a great design. I've used epilators for many years and this one is fantastic. The efficiency is brilliant, no pain, so many other attachments to use for all sort of beauty treatments. The one for gentle epilating is fab, first time I've never had sore underarms. The pedicure buffer is great at smoothing away hard skin and the body exfoliation brush which I'm sure does a good job but for me felt very abrasive on my skin (I have sensitive skin). The shaver is good, providing a close shave under arms etc and the trimmer is a useful attachment to have.My main reason for purchasing this was for the epilator as previous reviews gave it very good ratings and it is this feature that I am most disappointed with. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong but I would not advise using it on upper lip, even with the protective guide fitted in my first try the epilator wasn't grabbing the hairs and without realising it I must have pressed too hard in an attempt to grab the hairs resulting in the epilator rubbing ... Not a pleasant experience and further attempts have been unsuccessful to the point where I've given up. Using it on my legs has not proved any better, it takes a fair while to remove the hairs and not all are removed successfully and end up breaking off or are missed, I actually get better results by using the shaver. The handle for me is bulky difficult to hold and position. If I had the option of returning this product I would.
Now I won’t lie, epilation at the start hurts but past the initial stage it’s a breeze. I have found this epilator to be brilliant for removing my leg hair but also the attachments it comes with are incredibly useful. The shaver is great for arm hair and bikini line whilst the bikini trimmer is great for those more precise jobs. The exfoliation head is soft on the skin but is fantastic at reducing those pesky ingrown hairs but most surprising to me has been the pedicure head, it is perfect and my feet are now joining the rest of me as being satin smooth. Originally brought to be more environmentally conscious due to shaving waste but will not be looking back anymore, I have found my perfect accompaniment to my Lumea.

I am really pleased with this pain free epilator. I replaced my old painful epilator with this beautifully contoured Philips pain free epilator. I do not know what they have done but once you have used it once the next epilation is pain free. Congratulations Philips and Congratulations John Lewis for stocking this item. I did my homework and compared all the models, the new technology on offer and read customer reviews. I made my decision and am delighted with my Philips. *WELL DONE JOHN LEWIS*
This is my first experience of using an epilator as I'm a hardened fan of waxing. I was quite dubious about whether it would be as effective as waxing as well as how much it might hurt (having heard horror stories in the past!) Wow! What a pleasant surprise. It was totally as effective as waxing and there was absolutely no pain felt at all when using on my legs. More intimate areas were a little 'ouchy' but not anywhere near the level I was expecting - especially as I don't usually wax but shave underarms. I think the trick is to keep the hair short.I have also used the foot file and can say it is very effective, too. Just try not to go too overboard as skin may feel a bit tender!

Having to open giant pieces of flimsy paper, then find the language I needed and still then having to decipher icons for the most minimum of information was not a great experience for me. I found some good information from a leading competitor's site. More gnashing of teeth Also the shiny pink trim? Please reconsider using pink to market towards an item that is clearly intended for females. I hadn't realised it until I received it; had I seen it in a shop I would not have bought it for that reason. Moving on... As far as the item itself, there is obviously a knack for optimal hair removal and it will take time to withstand the eye-watering ... The epilator head is all plastic - in comparison my corded epilator has metal grasps that pull the hairs out much more effectively.Lastly, the battery life is okay - I now only use this as a shaver and charge it once every 3 uses.On the positive side, I will say that the shaving functionalities with this product are good - but that's all that I use this for now - which is a shame given there are many cheaper alternatives! You can use the shavers wet or dry and they give a nice finish. If you do epilate in the shower, it hurts less than doing this dry, which is why I bought the product, but you will probably have to also shave those areas to ensure all hairs are removed and you have smooth skin (for a day of two!).If I could, I would return this product as it is very expensive and unfortunately the "all in one" promise boils down to merely an expensive shaver and a poor epilator. I would not recommend this to anyone.
