I purchased three boxes of these so far. They produce nice, warm light for a study and a kitchen area. However, I have had an entire box worth of these globes spontaneously fail after a few weeks of use. Given typical LED life estimates are some 10000hrs, this is not good enough. Unfortunately, the high failure rate is enough to make me consider similar brand's products in future.

Purchased this in February 2023 and again in March 2023. Found 1 faulty globe out of 4 in each box. This is unexpected from a well established company like Philips. I also reached out to Philips which is time wasted as their advice was to return the product. Bunnings accepted the return with no issues. If you intend on purchasing thesebulbs please either check the bulbs and keep the receipt or consider other brands, but also retain the receipt in the event you need to return the product. My error was to trust the reputation of Philips and not testing the bulbs before using. So, after fitting the bulbs in the garden sensor light and reinstalling everything I found 1 to be faulty and I had to climb the ladder to redo the whole process and replace that faulty bulb. ... MorePurchased this in February 2023 and again in March 2023. That was quite a task with my garden light design. Partially my fault for assuming that Philips is a brand to trust and not testing all the bulbs on purchase before use. I returned 1 complete box with 2 faulty bulbs and received a refund. I notified the counter regarding the faulty bulbs but the staff seems to be preoccupied and I hope that that box of bulbs is not returned to the sales shelf for an unsuspecting customer.

12w bulb gives good amount of light with a warm temperature that's not too yellow/orange. With a 110mm length, these are one of the few 12w bulbs that will fit into some of the E27 light fittings that have a globe too small for a standard E27 bulb (like the fittings we bought online!).

Bulbs were just what I ordered/needed. They were.super bright for my garage and their smaller size than CFL allowed me to put the white glass ball back onto the fitting over the bulb.Works fine.Uses less than CFL and I got 3 so postage was only 3 dollars per bulb. Put other two outside house back door and side door.I recommend these but consider buying a spare or two to save on postage as 10 days llars a time adds up doesn't it.
LED lights have improved greatly over the past years and the purchase of the 13w light globes has changed our bathrooms from dull low, to bright places!A surprisingly good move.
These bulbs are a brilliant addition to the Cape Jaffa lighthouse and are illuminating the lantern room beautifully. The bulbs produce a perfect light that can be seen right throughout the district. Previously the light was a bit of an anticlimax, but thanks to the new bulbs has reinvigorated the sense of pride in our unique museum. Thanks
Both failed at 1/3 of rated life (which BTW is only specified at a few hours per day). It's clear LED globes sold today have a life much inferior to old fluorescents. No point paying more for Philips if as bad as the rest. Still have an early Osram 3W LED globe that's been running near 24/7 for 15 years. It's weighty and presumably had good heatsinking - unlike today's 'disposable' globes.
Delivery was quick. Got assurance that during warranty period lights will be replaced easily. So far Lights are working well without any issue. Ordered one of the biggest LED (19W) light is quite bright.
Considering the packaging says 3000k, this throws out a very cool "warm white" which is much bluer than my existing Osrams. To my untrained eye, I'd estimate this is closer to 4000k.
They're quick to turn on and have a nice colour. I always buy Philips because I'm sick of replacing blown globes from other brands. I don't mind spending a (tiny) bit more for good quality. You end up saving by the time you've bought your second cheap globe anyway
