Unnecessarily complicated. There is no need for the length of the comb to be adjustable in increments of 0.1mm. The battery powered sensor for adjusting length is faulty, often doesn’t work properly. The comb is way too big and makes moustache trimming difficult. Disappointing considering this is one of the most expensive on the market. overall very difficult to use and ineffective. I had a similar experience with a Philips iron - ineffective product and unnecessarily complicated.

Cuts to exactly the length wanted.

The clipper comes with three combs, each covering a range of lengths. It was easy to adjust the lengths. It can be set to the nearest 0.5mm. For me this means I can get the length of cut I want and am not stuck with a choice of "grades". And it makes it easy to set different lengths in different areas. Made an enormous difference in the look of the finish. It also cuts well, and is much easier to clean than my old clipper. Much quieter than all of the previous clippers I have used

Very low quality of product! After a few months the battery bumped out and broke the product body. And now the rest of hard plastic parts are breaking one after other. My trimmer didn’t last three full years. Not only I don’t recommend this product but also I won’t buy anything from Philips anymore as I regretted almost all times paying less for low quality stuff.

Disappoint
14 April 2022

As far as I understand, the person who designed this product does not have much knowledge and experience about haircuts. it is almost like a product produced by hearsay information obtained from the internet. it is a huge disappointment.1- The shape of the combs is so wrong that you cannot interfere with any folds. It is not possible to get the desired result in the areas around the ears and the nape, you cannot approach anywhere except the flat parts of the head.2- Due to the wrong physical properties of the combs, the cut hair gets stuck between the machine and the comb, and you have to empty the hair that accumulates in between each time.3- It may take a long time to get used to the digital control point. I think some people will never get over it.4-It ... MoreAs far as I understand, the person who designed this product does not have much knowledge and experience about haircuts. it is almost like a product produced by hearsay information obtained from the internet. it is a huge disappointment.1- The shape of the combs is so wrong that you cannot interfere with any folds. The lights on it look nice when you look from the front and you can consider it as a table decoration.6- By purchasing this machine, I haven't met the need for a shaver. I am currently looking to buy a machine again.Result; I'm angry.I can't believe that a brand like Philips has released such an inexperienced product.

Don't waste your money
21 April 2022

I wrote a review when I first bought these clippers, but after using them for 2 months I have decided to downgrade them.I have given the 2 stars because they cut very well, but the adjustment on them is useless, they adjust in 1/10th of a millimetre, I don't think that anyone would want their hair cut at 36.1mm instead of 36mm.They are very fiddly to adjust, I try to adjust them to 30mm, but they either don't adjust at all or they jump about.I really wish I had returned them within the first month.I have always used Phillips hair trimmers but these are a complete waste of money.

Good clippers for the price
3 March 2022

Bought these to replace my old Philips clippers, battery no longer recharged.Cut very well easy to hold and use, only complaint is the adjustment for length, why anyone would want the cutting to be in increments of 1/10th of a millimetre I don't know and the adjustment is very fiddly. You have to touch the control and sometimes it doesn't move, other times it goes from 0 to 20 in a second. I preferred the old manual adjustment.Great thing about them is that whilst the motor is running you cannot accidently alter cutting gauge.Having said that I would recommend them.

Obvious design fault
9 May 2021

Series 9000 Pro Precision HC9450/13.There is an obvious design fault with this clipper. The 1-7mm comb does not have continuous guide rails (see Manufactures pictures), this allows the comb to flex, resulting in an uneven cut when trimming very short hair. Admittedly it could be argued that if even pressure could be applied, this would not happen. True but this would be very difficult to do.Another fault is hair gathering behind the combs which requires the removal of the comb to clear the hair before continuing with the cut.I have a longer cut and it did a very good job. It felt smooth and comfortable but I didn’t use the smaller comb. Unfortunately, my son wanted a cut of 3mm and at first it seemed to be working ok but then for no apparent reason, it started ... MoreSeries 9000 Pro Precision HC9450/13.There is an obvious design fault with this clipper. My son began to get quite alarmed by my cries of No! how can this be happening. I had to finish off with an older hair clipper and my son ended up with a skinhead which would qualify him for a lead role in EastEnders. To sum up, this a very good hair clipper for longer hair but if it cannot be trusted to cut shorter hair it might be better to look elsewhere.

Phillips Series 9000 Clippers

Its that kind of year hasn't it? The one where we needed to do ISO hair cuts... and these clippers do the trick really well! I bought these for my partners Birthday as an added gift to replace older Phillips clippers that had been used so long they'd finally given up the ghost. These are a great new model. The digital screen is great and easy to use. The clippers come with 3 combs (rather than 8 like other brands) because the blade adjusts and moves to multiple lengths within that range. That got an audible "oooh" when we discovered that and now we have less stuff to store in our bathroom too! Price point is really good, especially for cordless and a digital screen. This Phillips Hair trimmer gives even cutting and is a very light unit. So as long as you choose the ... MoreIts that kind of year hasn't it? It doesn't come with a storage bag but that's the least of your worries when you get a wonderful product. 5 stars from me.

READ THE LOW REVIEWS! THE ARE CORRECT!

Please read the low reviews, they are all correct!!I read them but thought I knew better, after just one use they are going straight back!If you have short hair, 1-10mm it is USELESS! I tried and tried following Philips tips to get evenly cut hair at about 5mm, it's impossible, I was cutting for at least 10-15 minutes thinking I had got everything, looked in the mirror and was genuinely shocked as to how much was completely missed! The problem seems to be the well reported issue of the comb constantly clogging with your own hair and NOT clearing as the "Trim-n-Flow" suggests, you end up going over hair several times and hearing it cut, but it's not cutting the hair on your head, its cutting the clogged hair in the comb meaning you are constantly stopping to ... MorePlease read the low reviews, they are all correct!!I read them but thought I knew better, after just one use they are going straight back!If you have short hair, 1-10mm it is USELESS! The unit is just far too long, and you end up hitting your shoulder and upper back trying reach those tricky to reach areas, it’s also very easy to drop and hold when trying to go around your ears.I'm used to a 5 min cut with my 17-year-old Philips QC5170 180-degree swivel which are a breeze to use in comparison, why on earth have they stopped making a similar model?Overall, this is the most disappointing product I have EVER had from Philips.

Uncomfortable to hold and doesn't cut at longer lengths
23 May 2018

Usually love Philips products so I bought these to replace my previous Philips QC5070, which didn't hold charge very long anymore. An absolute backwards step from my older clippers.Three huge combs instead of two. The motorised lock in feature is annoying and not as easy as the manual "scroll wheel" feature on my old ones and it will randomly reset itself if you leave it for what seems like 10 seconds. It also takes longer to get to the length you want as you have to wait for the motor to go through the lengths. The old one you could just whip the scroll wheel and you were on the length you want. The unit itself is bulky and cumbersome and an absolute nightmare to do the back of your head with. The old one you could just whip the scroll wheel and you were on the length you want. The unit itself is bulky and cumbersome and an absolute nightmare to do the back of your head with. It's just too big and too big to comfortably hold in your hand whilst cutting. It also doesn't follow the shape of your head as you move it across your head, like my old one did. My old one was also a perfect size to hold, and the round shape sat neatly in your hand. This one feels like you're holding a baseball bat and has a really annoying and over the top curve in the middle that means you nearly drop it whenever you turn it round to do the back. The combs actually seem to hurt your head when they go over it! They feel too hard. The worst point - it's useless at cutting at the longer lengths! It just pushes your hair out the way instead of cutting it. So much for this "dual-cut" technology - my old clippers cut through the hair like a warm knife through soft butter. You'd get a better cut smearing peanut butter on your head and getting your dog to chew your hair off.Only positives are that it seems to hold its charge although I only used it twice, now it's on eBay. It can obviously do a lot of lengths too (although it can't and won't cut the longer lengths at all).
