On the whole, I've not had many connectivity issues with Hue and I think that's because Hue lights require a dedicated bridge. Control of Hue lights via app or Alexa is pretty good. The transformer is bulkey, the wiring is bulky and the connecting wires cannot be shortened which means I've had to hide a lit of cable so it can't be seen. Beautiful lighting effect!!

As soon as I installed the light strips I immediately felt they transformed the garden, not only did they look gorgeous but the light it created really changed the ambiance and felt incredibly calm on the warm white setting. The warm white light looks very striking against the greenery, the colours are a really fun way to switch it up. I positioned them behind our sleeper rails and love the effect this has created. The app is super easy to use and as a Hue user it was really easy to connect these to my current app via the bridge. I found the setup process really simple. I love that they are IP65 so feel really waterproof - especially considering the British weather! I know I will use these all year round & not just for the long summer nights.

Bringing the outdoors in!

Love the versatility of this outdoor LED smart light! I decided to use mine indoors to create an extra ambiance and to set the mood in my living area! I love how easy it is to connect via Bluetooth and it is great that I can control it via my mobile phone. Easy and accessible!Great range of colours and it works perfectly with a command via Alexa :)

Excellent Product

This is an excellent device if you wish to have an easy to install smart light. It is worth shopping around for a more affordable price, which is what I did and found a respectable discount here at John Lewis. Very bright, seems sturdy, well made and easy to use. Works with Bluetooth or the Philips Bridge via Wi-Fi.

Great adaptable strip lighting solution!

This light strip is a great design and really durable, it is very flexible and bends really easily to be positioned and fixed neatly. The setup was really simple and easy, as it has been with all of the Hue lights I have. I actually used the QR code to add this strip light on the Philips Hue app. I've saved my favourite presets so I can easily switch between these for just the right level of lighting with no fuss! The distribution of light through the strip is very even, and it's great to have such a vast range of vibrant colours to match any situation, with softer, more subtle glows as an option to suit different moods too. Great for accent lighting of garden features

This weatherproof LED strip works well and has a similar light output to the Hue indoor lightstrips but it is a fixed length and cannot be cut to a smaller size as they can be. I have used two strips underneath a window sill that is 3.6m wide, so I overlapped them in the middle to get the length I needed. Be aware that the LED strip inside the plastic sheathing is a little shorter, so the illuminated portion is not quite the entire 2m. It is supplied with plastic mounting clips and screws for them. Once the clips are fixed in place the lightstrip clicks into them. I used the clips but attached them with weatherproof VHB tape instead of the screws. This is what I have done but I plan to replace the two power adapters with a single Hue 40W power adapter and use a Hue T-connector so that only one 13A socket is needed. When installing don't forget to find space for the control box which is hard wired into the low voltage cable between the power adapter and strip. It is quite close to the strip end, but the other cable end has the usual Hue 2-pin low voltage outdoor connector, so it could be extended with a Hue 2.5m or 5m outdoor cable if needed.

Perfect Led Strip for outdoor AND indoor

The fact that LED strip is already prepared as full "package" is amazing. Even for indoor installation it is extremely convenient as no other diffusers are needed. Also it seems to have more lights than a normal strip (I could not confirm it, since I didnt open, but looks like it)

Summer oasis

Very smooth installation! I like that it comes with screws and brackets to makes my live easier. I already have other Hue Phillip lights around the house, so setting this one up has been very easy and quick. My flat has a long balcony with no lighting, it has made the space much more interesting, love that you can change the colours to make it pop for different times on the day. I really enjoy creating the ambient in the Summer nights.Quality looks good, I'm glad I can leave them permanently all year!

Very chunky power supply built in to cable

I’ve not been able to use this as the cable connectors have a very chunky connector on which I can’t get through a gap in my wall. It’s quite frustrating as this seems unnecessarily chunky and it’s not really shown in the ad. Even worse, once you open the product you can’t get a refund from Robert Dyas so for something like this buy from somewhere with a better returns policy.

Easy to install, straight out of the box and app downloaded. looks great in the garden at night and had fun playing with the different colours. recently have had a few issues where the app hasnt been taking its time or not picking up the light, but the majority of the time light works perfectly? this is a great light easy to mould around any shape and I will be adding more products to my collection.
