Practical and beautiful modern lamp. The installation is very easy, it didn’t take much time. The setting up of the app is also very straight forward and it’s very handy to be able to set up some light configurations via your phone. I definitely would repurchase it!

As mentioned by Henk, the light has a manufacturing defect where the outside metal band has a huge gap on one side. Basically it bulges out a bit where the band is joined together. The one I received had the same thing.Mighty Ape already accepted my return request, when I tried to open up the lamp (of course disconnected from power) to see if I could fix it. It turns out it is possible to twist/turn the lower part a bit and take it off which gives you access to the metal band. I was able to bend it in better shape which means it now looks fairly ok, with almost no bulge.So, definitely disappointment quality-wise but at least fixable without having to return it. No hassles with Mighty Ape, they were very supporting, and I got to keep it.

They are making it has hard and long as possible. I have noticed a clear variation now in quality of Philips products.

I bought 2 of these for my last place. Was easy to install, great operation as with all Philips Hue products. Yes it had the minor defect that one reviewer has left on numerous sites, but it's so minor you never notice it when it's on your ceiling. Would definitely install these again at my new place
These are a great light. Well built, fully adjustable, good integration with home assistant, etc. Pity about the price going up. They used to be around $250. I now have 3 of them, and plan to eventually get another 6 through the house. Would be 5 stars if price didn't rise.
Before installing this I had only a single hue lightbulb in the kitchen. This pendant has made the room so much brighter and every corner of the room is covered in light. I love that there are 4 pre set colour settings and do find that I use the different colours at different times and it's great that it can be dimmed and changed through the controller, which works straight out the box.The installation was relatively straight forward and required someone with a bit of knowledge but didn't require a professional. Although, the one issue I found was the strings that change the height can be adjusted easily, but it also was a bit too easy to pull them out completely and a little faff to get it back in but got there eventually! I love the way it is easy to adjust the height of the drop and that it was able to go so close to the ceiling.I have had a little difficulty connecting it to work with Alexa but I'm sure with more time to play around I can get that sorted. The light has a manufacturing defect where the outside metal band has a huge gap on one side. I returned it but got the same back. Philips is making the returns process very difficult. Also returns and disconnection at my cost. Quality of Philips lighting deteriorating.
Good product but less illuminations. I had to return it as it couldn't illuminate well my office room which is small but this product blocks lot of lights with the protective cover. So, if you are buying this make sure you do review the lumen and your room size. I would say anything below 1000 lumens is not suitable for a room like 10x10ft.
