A welcome enhancement to video entertaiment
I purchased these after reading lots of reviews and watching countless YouTube clips. They're now included in my Hue "Entertainment Area" in the living room and in sync with my TV (via the Hue HDMI Sync Box).Set up was quick and simple and the attached stands allow for either vertical or horizontal configurations. You can also use the included stickers to adhere to surfaces where stands aren't an option (just make sure you test them before you commit to using the stickers). The colour range is as advertised and unlike earlier Hue products, these can produce rich blues and greens. They're also bright enough to compliment the TV content but not so bright that they distract from it.The included power adaptor has 3 ports so can power 3 Hue Play Smart Bars. This is ... Bright lights! Buy a pack of 2
Easy to set up and no need to have a Hue Bridge. (But you will have to manually switch on and off the lights) if you have a Hue Bridge, use the app to control your lights. I have created multiple scenes on the Hue app so depending of my moon I will select a scenes... Show more

Enjoying Them Thus Far!
Once you get past having to purchase the Philips Hue Bridge separately for these to work they really are super fun to use! The colours are super vibrant and customisable with an animation feature between custom colour pallets. Additionally, the have a lot of versatility in their positioning which is a bigger plus for me personally. While I think there are definitely some cheaper options in terms of 'good quality' smart lights these wont disappoint if you have some spare cash.... Show more

Excellent lights
Have got these on the back of a 34 inch Ultrawide monitor and they are really really good, perfect lighting for video calls and remove the annoyance that can be caused by overhead lighting. Like them so much that I’ve purchased another set for another monitor. The comments from people about hubs are plain daft, read up before you buy. Have been using Hue products for a number of years and they are the market leader for a reason, good quality products which work seamlessly. Solid app and works great with HomeKit.... Show more

Good but...Could be better
The package comes with two different types of mounts (okay good); however, it would be better if the mounts had a ball swivel on them to improve adjustability and customization. They're too expensive considering that the purchase of a hue bridge is required. The connection to the mounts could be improved over the easy-to-lose tiny screws. The build quality and materials are nice and robust. The lights can really bring life to a space and really change the ambiance. Overall good product.... Show more

Great quality but...
The Hue range really is market-leading - excellent quality & reliability & yes, that's why you pay a little more.Their idea of being able to synch your lighting with your audio & vision is an awesome one - create very cool effects and ambiance while watching movies or playing games however...Don't expect to be able to just set these lights up around your TV, cnnect to the Hue Bridge and just make it work.As Philips do not have a Smart TV or AppleTV app the synching must be done through a computer-based app so effects will only work if you are streaming video or games from your computer to your TV and that app is running.Yes. I know. Disappointing.I had been anticipating being able to get this happening in our media room but we don't stream from our ... Lights are fantastic, but....
Phillips have done a phenomenal job with these lights. They have multiple attachments which you cqn use to position the lights where and how you’d like. Provides great colour. BUT I bought these in order to sync with my home entertainment system. I was advised by both JB AND Phillips that all I need is a hue bridge to do this. What is not advised is that you can only sync the lights (with a lag) through the Hue Bridge if you download the App onto your computer. For those who want to sync with movies or streaming, you MUST purchase a Sync Bridge which is currently not available in Australia (was meant to be June but... well, we know why there’s likely delays). So, to conclude: As a smart light = fantastic To sync with movies = fail... Show more

Make sure you get latest model for full features!
JB Hifi sold me an old model of this product that has since been upgraded over 1yr ago to a newer model. JBHIFI still had this old model on the shelf and sold it to me without disclosing it was an old product model at full price..Same day I purchase the same product from another retailer in town and it is brilliant with full features as advertised by the manufacturer. Nah brah
Way to expensive. Just get a large HUE led strip and stick it around the back of your tv. An 80” fits perfectly around the back of most TVS and will work just as well for half the price. Love you hue, buying a 3 pack of lily outdoor lights rn, but this product seems way overpriced and under featured compared to alternatives in your own product lineup.... Show more

Not intelligent at all. You can get something better for this price
I used them in bedroom. There were unplanned outages at times. And every time when the power is recovered, it turns into full brightness, shining in the middle of the night. Even after I changed the settings, it worked for a few months but recently turned into a midnight interrogation light again, kill your sleep completely at 3 am. Also I could not enble the out of home control, it just says cannot connect to the hue bridge, while I literally just turned on the light via the bridge. Tried all those online restart this or that strategy, none of them works. Pretty disappointed. Had used other brands for much cheaper price before, those were actually more flexible and responsive.... Show more
