The Hue system needs the hub to make full use of the system.The system is easy to set up and the bulbs are pretty much standard size, other makes do not fit some of my light as they are too large.Well worth the extra cost.

Good product just way to expensive! Would buy more in the future if price was more Reasonable!
Bulb is a plain white Hue bulb, not a White Ambience, as described/sold. Can be dimmed, but can not be changed between cool/warm light. Very frustrating, as Very say it can't be returned once installed, and you're not likely to notice until you try to change it.
Good Points: Great product, great amount of light producedImprovement Points: If using with a Google Home device, can be tricky to set up. Use Google’s advice and not Philips.
