Bad design unfortunately

I've had these brushes for my kids for nearly a year and am disappointed. The brushes that have been used consistently (my 7 year old couldn't get used to the vibration so she opted for rregular toothbrush more oftenthan not) have black moldy mildew looking stuff in the space between the brush body and the brush head. It's gross and I'm not comfortable with my kids putting them in their mouths anymore so I stashed them away. My husband and I have had Oral-B electronic toothrushes for years and have never had this issue or anything else for that matter. It's poor design. I don't know why the space is there.

Continues to break

I have purchased too many sonicare toothbrushes. I like the product but cannot continue to pay such high prices for a product that continues to break. This is my third toothbrush to purchase that has had the metal attachment piece break and become loose causing the brush to malfunction. This is a common problem that the company has failed to resolve over years of having the same issue. Also the chat line is not helpful and the agents will disconnect you when they decide the chat is over. I want to love sonicare but I cannot stand behind an expensive product that repeatedly breaks.

Disappointing

I bought three of the brushes for my kids. First night. They don’t stay on for the appropriate amount of time. The app does not work, will not let me pick a country other than Australia and then tells me there is no support for my product where I live. My kids were so excited about the app calendar and brushed their teeth for 6 minutes trying to get a checkmark for the nightly brushing but never did. The app will not let me give patent approval. The model number on the toothbrush is different from the one on the box it came in. When I tried to start over on it all I got the same results. I could have spent less and saved hours of my time. The only positive is that for one night my kids were excited to brush their teeth.

Has a few glitches

Purchased two toothbrushes, one for each son. I set the profiles up following identical steps. Son1 always defaults to 1 minute brush time, Son2 always defaults to 2 minutes brushtime. No easy way to set both to 2 minutes. After 10 days brushing Son1 is still at 1 minute despite instructions implying it would adjust.Son1 was synched to ToothbrushA. Son2 was synched to ToothbrushB. Two weeks in, ToothbrushA suddenly synchs itself to Son2… and Son1’s toothbrush won’t synch.I deleted profiles and started again… once again the one son’s brush time defaults to 1Minute while the other defaults to 2 minutes.This is the things toddler tantrums are made of!!!!!

Makes brushing teeth so much fun!

My daughter is super motivated by the gift and award gestures, and loves to interact with the digital scene daily. As a parent, I am amazed to see how greatly this product motivates my daughter, as she is actually now asking to brush her teeth throughout the day! The Philip's Sonicare Kids Sonic Electric Toothbrush comes with a charging base, a single brush head, and an easy-to-follow guide for operation. The handle features rubberized-grips and is large enough for my three-year-old to grasp and manipulate independently. Performance-wise, this toothbrush boasts the perfect amount of cleaning power. I love that the brush head is able to clean teeth effectively, with little pressure (let the brush do the work!). The bristles are gentle and the brush head size fit a toddler's oral cavity nicely. Because the brush head will vibrate when switched on, I do recommend applying toothpaste and placing the brush inside your child's mouth prior to powering the brush on (otherwise the toothpaste tends to splatter/fall off the brush). I like that the Kids Sonic Electric Toothbrush has two modes, a low/gentle mode for younger children, and a high mode for more advanced/experienced brushers. After only two-weeks with this toothbrush, my daughter is beginning to comprehend appropriate brushing techniques (angling brush head), and is brushing by quadrant when prompted with the interactive video on the app. I love that this brush is helping my daughter learn to brush more independently, with less adult-reliance. Overall, I am highly impressed with the design and performance of the Kids Sonic Electric Toothbrush. If you are a parent looking for a fun, motivating and effective means to assist your child with maintaining good oral hygiene, this is the product for you!

My kids love this brush

My kids are ages 6 and 3 and they love this tooth brush, they couldn't wait to get it out the box and set up. In the box it comes with two tooth brush heads, a large head and a smaller one which was great for my two little kids. They use different brush heads but use the same handle. My children love the fact that you can put stickers on the handle to decorated it, which are supplied in the box. The only thing I will say is that the size of the handle its self could be a little smaller for kids hands as it's designed for them. I would says it's the same size as I normal electric brush so I end up brushing my 3 year old tooth as he just can't hold it properly in the right directions. On the app you get a little sparkly monster and you can earn little prizes each time you brush your teeth eg food, hair dye and clothes to use on them. Just liked to point out you don't actually have to use the app with the tooth brush, it just makes it more fun for the kids. The tooth brush connect to Bluetooth on your device and when you turn on the tooth brush a mouth will appear on the screen and tells you how and where to brush. My little ones love watching and following along with it. Their are 2 modes a 1 minute and 2 minute mode, we have it one 1 minute while they get use to the brush. The brush makes a little tune when you need to swap sections while brushing so it makes it easy for the kids to know. We have been using this brush for a couple of weeks now and my boys will never moan when I tell them it's time to brush, they even remind me because they are so eager to use it. It's definitely a get brush designed for kids and to help teach them to brush properly and getting them used to an electrical brush. So apart from the handle being abit to big for little hands, the other little negative is that some times when you turn the brush on it won't come up with the monsters mouth straight away, u have to manual connect it, but that's not hard to do it just takes a couple of secs longer each time but my kids can never seem to wait. I would definitely recommend this brush tho and have already to some friends of mine. I just need to get some extra heads for it now

Poor quality

I purchased Philips adult toothbrushes for myself and my sister, but they both broke after only a year and a half of use. I also got two kids' Philips toothbrushes for my children three months before my toothbrush broke, but both of them broke before reaching one year of use. My son switched to a different brand after his Philips toothbrush broke, while my daughter liked the bigger brush head of the Philips toothbrush and got another one. Unfortunately, it also broke after only half a year. After experiencing these issues, our whole family has given up on using Philips toothbrushes. Although the box claims a two-year warranty, it was difficult to find information on how to contact the company for support.

Replacement heads not available

Great toothbrush and exciting app for children. When you purchase you receive two sizes of brush heads, standard and compact. The compact size is perfect for up to 8yrs old. Unfortunately those compact size brush heads are no longer available to purchase which is very frustrating considering the cost of the toothbrush. My 3yr old and 8yr old find the larger standard size brush head too large and uncomfortable. The replacement heads in standard size are also not available to purchase from Argos as stated on the Phillips website. I enquired about the compact size brush heads and received a 10% voucher as a token of good will. Great gesture but useless when the product I need is no longer available to purchase. awesome brush for toddler

Our kid was jealous of our electric toothbrushes and he found regular ones boring. We decided to invest into electric one and it was a great choice! It beeps 4x 30 sec which helps kid to decide when to change the brushing area. You can personalize the toothbrush with many stickers that are enclosed with the device. Last, but not least, it is not as heavy as its adult versions. Thanks to this toothbrush, morning and evening routine is not a nightmare anymore. I highly recommend it!
