Often we're bombarded with advertising claiming this, that and the other about how our world will be turned upside down by a unique product that we just can't do without - which of course, we can, and frequently do.In regards to this toothbrush, I can honestly say that I cannot be without this and would never go back to a manual brush again. Not only does it keep teeth/gums clean, but it reaches the parts of my mouth that are difficult to reach and gives those areas a thorough clean. In my case, it's the extra wisdom teeth I have growing in my Mandible - almost impossible to accurately clean them with a manual brush as there's very little room to manoeuvre it. With the Phillips Sonicare it's a breeze - highly recommended.

This product should come with better instructions in the box rather, than and a one sheet pictorial representation which seems to be a little different to the product. In my case, image 13 on the pictorial seemed to show that there are three LED’s to show differing levels of charge status but on the product itself there is only one LED for this. I had to telephone Philips to find out the meaning of the displays from the single LED and, in so doing, got pointed in the direction of a 64 page user manual on their website which gave the information on how to decipher the various phases of flashing lights. I realise that putting a user manual in the box covering all languages would be a bulky document but there must be a way of producing a manual in the official language ... MoreThis product should come with better instructions in the box rather, than and a one sheet pictorial representation which seems to be a little different to the product. Using the website’s “Find the toothbrush head that is best for you – Go to advisor” function and selecting G3 Premium Gum Care only brings up one option which is in white. I had to telephone Philips to query this and was given a different code HX9054/33 which the online advisor does not show. The website toothbrush head finder needs to be kept up-to-date by (1) not showing products “no longer available” e.g. HX9054/06 but (2) showing those which are e.g. HX9054/33.Furthermore, when trying to find my toothbrush on the Philips online system I type in the code on the bottom of my product which is HX680B but that is not recognised. The website needs to recognise all of your product codes.

Doesn't last very long!

This is my second and they don't last for very long! What happens is that the seal fails, even though I'm careful to minimize water getting in, and then water get's inside. This causes all sorts of problems with failure ultimately. If it's still got warranty, I couldn't be bothered by the hassle. The other main brand toothbrushes I've had in the past last much longer. I've also read many other reviews and this is a common problem. Philips really need to address this problem and improve the seals from a customer and environmental perspective.

Faulty design, poor customer care
14 June 2022

Within 16 months of careful use the spigot started to come out when removing the brush head and in use the head is no longer secure. I contacted customer care who said I would be sent a replacement after uploading my receipt to the link which I would be sent within 24 hours. It took 5 days to get the link, at which point I discovered that I had to return the unit before a replacement was sent. I also had to print out the documentation, but I do not have a printer. Given their delay and my impending holiday the result is a possible 3 weeks with no toothbrush for a fault that is known to Phillips as this is apparently a common problem. I am so dissatisfied with this I shall not be buying a Phillips product again, even though I have been using their toothbrushes for ... MoreWithin 16 months of careful use the spigot started to come out when removing the brush head and in use the head is no longer secure. I was offered a discount to be used on a new product but unfortunately it isn’t valid on a Braun.

Good but case is totally inappropriate
6 March 2023

The toothbrush does what it’s meant to do and it’s nice to have it in black rather than white for a change. However the carry case is totally not fit for purpose. It’s flimsy, the toothbrush does not comfortably fit (you have to take the brush head off) and the main body does not clip in at all so it just rolls around). The clasp is also not strong enough to close once you manage to balance the body in the middle. This is a totally pointless case that doesn’t even need to be included and is a total unnecessary use of plastic (trust me I’m not plastic police).

Love my toothbrush!
23 October 2022

I've used a Philips Sonicare toothbrush for ... well, ever, just about. At least twenty years, maybe thirty! In this instance I wanted to leave on at my partner's house to save taking mine there every week. I bought cheap (big mistake, huge!), there was an offer on the brand that boasts the 'circular movement'. It was only for weekend use, and I thought it'd be fine. It wasn't! My teeth didn't feel clean after using it. I tried it for a couple of weeks, and hated it, hence this Philips purchase. I'm thrilled with it ... my teeth feel and look beautifully clean. The toothbrush is straightforward to use and ticks all the boxes. Philips are the best in my book!

Perfectly Pretty
28 November 2022

I would have given this top marks but I've a couple of tiny gripes. Changing sites is a problem, when you first turn the brush on it starts on the highest speed, you have to turn off before turning on & tapping twice before the speed will go to the lower setting. Not so good for people with sensory needs. Altogether a wonderful tooth brush though, handy 2 minute timer with auto shut-off is brilliant. I do also like the handy reminder to change areas which is split in to 4 x 30 second segments - so helpful. A more regular toothbrush shaped head, which is nicer than a tiny round head like other manufacturers use. Plus it is nice to be able to have it in pink! My husbands is black so they are easily identified as 2 different peoples. Brilliant!

Super-charged cleanliness
1 July 2022

I bought this.sonic wonder ages ago and I gave it a good 8 hours charging time. I brush regularly and I still haven’t had to recharge it. This alone is such a hassle saver.I have also seen the benefits on cleanliness and whiteness after the first 14 days super-cleaning setting and there has been a real improvement compared to my old brush. Now I flick between the low and high settings depending on whether I’m brushing a problem area, or whether it’s sensitive or where there is a crown and I get a really excellent finish.I highly recommend this product.

Very clean, but poor button design
22 March 2023

I have 2 of these, bought about 2 years apart. The design has not improved in this time. Firstly, this cleans very well. Better than the dentist's cleaning even - I suspect this is removing some stains that scaling and polishing can't. And the good thing is, because the bristles don't really move, it's much more gentle than rotating electric toothbrushes, especially at the gumline. I think this model is as good as the more expensive models (in other words, don't need to buy them). Also, it's on lithium battery, although it doesn't charge particularly fast. The main problem is the button quickly separates and sinks into the body, making a huge gap. I already had one brush replaced under warranty. Both of my brushes are still working and in use, so at least they last ... MoreI have 2 of these, bought about 2 years apart. The design has not improved in this time. Firstly, this cleans very well. Very disappointed
18 February 2023

On the good side it arrived quickly and in the time slot Evri advised. Other than that..... the parcel was dirty and tattered, but the box itself inside was all right. But it has only one setting. Just a two pin plug. Heaps of incomprehensible manuals in tiny writing and 50 different languages. No spare brush head(s). It's very noisy. I hate it, but having lost my lovely old toothbrush I needed a replacement urgently so I won't return it, Philips should be ashamed of this offering.
