Introducing the new Philips motion and daylight sensor LED lamps, a clever energy efficient addition to any home. Thanks to a built-in sensor, this modern LED lamp can detect when you walk close by and turn on automatically. When the surrounding light becomes bright enough, the motion sensor automatically switches off so the lamp will not turn on even when there is motion around, thus saving you energy.

The limited 90 degree sensor angle detection is not good for a standard 2.4 meter high long hall way. This means that you would have to be half way down the dark hall way when the sensor sees you. The best sensor detection angle should be 280 degrees. Do not buy a 90 degree sensor angle detection unless you are using it in a small room where the 90 degree angle would hit the door way entrance.

I bought this light as it also has a daylight sensor as well as the motion sensor to stop it coming on in the daytime.

My hallway lighting is linked with the stair lighting, sometimes I want to keep the hall lighting on without having the stair lighting wasting energy - this is the solution! HOWEVER, I currently have two of these bulbs, it took the purchase and return of 5 (FIVE!!!!) in order to get two working ones, staff at Bunnings did not let me test it in store so the gamble and time wasting was ridiculous. I'm happy now they work, but jeez what a messy experience from a Philips product...

Two other brands failed. The Philips LED Bulb E27 8W product works well. Thanks, Reduction Revolution!~
We put it in the Pantry and so the light was less than a metre to the door. It works perfectly every time with a very even light. Not sure on the range or spread of the sensor but in our pantry it works well.
Item was supposed to turn off when there was no movement. Stayed on the whole time. Went to return it at local mitre 10 but because they don’t stock this product could only refund and have to go back to store 100kms away to get a new one. Very annoying.
Works as we'd hoped ow looking at our pantry for the second light
I installed this in my carport and it will turn on during daytime whenever it detects motion. Advertised as light sensing and won't turn on if there are enough ambient light but didn't work in my case. Bit annoying to have to switch the light off every morning to stop it from turning on in daytime.
I bought this for use in my garage. I needed extra lighting to help when arriving home at night so I can see into the boot of my car. I use it in conjunction with this portable edison screw mount https://www.bunnings.com.au/arlec-15w-led-diy-portable-flood-light_p0151556, which is ideal when your nearest source of power is a mains plug, of if you're a renter and can't make alterations to the house. It's quite sensitive and always comes on when I need it to.
always on even nobody comes. The manufacturer should test properly before production. I returned it
