I have super thick and curly hair. While trying to trim my hair with a clip guard on it left my hair uneven and splotchy. I tried fixing it and it only got worse, at some point I had to just buzz my hair completely; even then it struggled. I don't know if the battery was maybe low and caused problems but after growing my hair for almost a year; it causing problems has left me bothered. If you have thick and curly hair, just pay the 25 bucks for a hair cut. Your looks will thank you. Aside from that it's an alright product, it does my beard pretty well but unfortunately that's not what I was working with.

Piece of crap my last 2 trimmers have gone to crap. 1st one come on during the middle of day couldn't turn it off and would not take a charge after the battery was drained. Bought another 2 months ago and last nite around 130 my newest one came on and again I couldn't turn it off. With battery drained I tried charging it again and guess what big surprise it won't take charge either. One every so often can be just a glitch but 2 trimmers in 4 months time your products are turning to crap. Sorry but I will never buy another piece of junk that y'all produce!!

Trims very well along the direction of the growth. The regular cutter with no attachment trims quite close. The little detail trimmer is perfect for around the mouth. Nose trimmer does an excellent job. The shortest beard attachment gives me a good close-cropped haircut. It's like the seller made a big mistake on the price. All in all, I'm very satisfied with it.
This is definitely not a high-end grooming tool. It feels like I'm holding very light/thin plastic that would probably break if I accidentally dropped it. Also, it doesn't have any led to indicate when the device needs to be charged or when it's done charging. Unlike other budget trimmers, this one actually comes with a charger. It comes with many different length attachments and is easy to use. It is not waterproof, but the blades are self sharpening so maintenance is minimal. I would recommend this if you need a low cost trimmer but do not need a lot of features. It provides a very good trim.
Before the trimmer stopped working about a month after purchasing it, the quality of trim was probably at best average. The trimmer was in working order and it operated as it was designed to. The trim just wasn’t close enough based on past experiences with a comparably priced Wahl trimmer. The trim guards also were not numbered. You have to test which will cut shorter because some look the same length but have no identifiable numbering system. I will be submitting for reimbursement of the cost of purchase. I think there is a warranty. Either way I will have to go back to a Wahl trimmer. I really was looking for an alternative to Wahl. This Philips trimmer is not the one.
Philips is my go to brand for many of my home electronics so the decision to purchase this grooming tool was second nature. This trimmer comes with three hair guards (9,12, & 16mm), four beard guards (1,3,5,& 7mm), nose hair trimmer, and a precision trimmer. The trimmer is relatively quiet albeit with a little more vibration than I prefer. The instructions boast a 60 minute run time from a full charge so I should not have to recharge the trimmer for quite some time.The box made mention the the trimmer had self sharpening blades but I didn’t find that mentioned in the instructions. Nevertheless, the unit did not come with any lubricant. I guess we will see haw the blades perform over time.
I have been cutting my own hair for 20 years and this is probably the best hair clippers I have used! The battery charges very quickly. It is great not having a cord in the way when cutting my own hair! The profile is not very wide, so I was worried it would take a long time for my haircut. However the motor allows me to cut through my thick hair very quickly. It is even better as a beard trimmer due to its profile and the many attachments. Clean cuts without any hair pulling. Also can safely manscape with it! Great product!!
