Loved this razor when I first got it from Influenster and gave a 5 star review! Was happy to get replacements before having to go out and buy them as I am a true convert! The original blade is still holding up and I have used this in the intimate areas and even shaving my head! Great smototh cut though can be rough if you have very short hair. Easy to clean and preserve the balde with the case. Will def continue using a bb buying replacements. Thanks Norelco!

Engineered to fail.

This product is great when it works. My first blades were fine, then I purchased a pack of replacement blades…totally different experience. The first one broke one of 4 hinges immediately. I thought I had accidentally mishandled it. I used it as best as I could but of course while taking the comb guide off the hinge on the opposite side broke. I made a point of being overly gentle with the second blade in the pack. 3 of 4 hinges broke almost immediately. Reading a 1 star review like this you’d wonder about the writer and if he’s just too dumb to use the product properly, but my voice is just one of many who experienced these expensive product failures. Surely Philips could make these better; I feel like they were de-contented to fail while they still had useful life ... MoreThis product is great when it works. This 3-pk of replacement blades is nearly as simple as it gets. I have already been using the Philips OneBlade for a while and received these replacement blades for free in exchange for this honest review.I regularly remove the blade on my OneBlade to clean some of the small hair that can tend to be stuck behind it. Installing one of these replacement blades is the exact same as reinstalling the original. Nothing new to fiddle with here. My old blade was doing just fine for trimming and truth be told I never really even considered needing to replace it.After installing one of these replacement blades, I had mixed feelings. It definitely was not as remarkable a difference as I would have expected.These replacement blades have a wear indicator strip on them that I am guessing when it completely fades away is when I am supposed to replace it, however, as I mentioned before, I was still using the original blade without any issues. I have not been using one of the new blades long enough for the wear indicator to start deteriorating, but I am thinking that it will tell me to replace the blade far sooner than I will feel is necessary. That makes me think about two things: First, unnecessary waste, and second, Phillips trying to make another buck, by having everyone replace their blades sooner than necessary.The OneBlade razors are not like a typical shaving razor that is getting nicks in the blade as easily and risk cutting your face. In addition, if you are using a trimmer head as opposed to straight on the face, if there were any slight nicks on the blade you do not risk any chance of cutting your face since the blades are not actually touching you. Granted you would have a decreased quality of cut though.Overall, I think the blades are exactly what they are advertised as, replacement blades. I would not expect any more or less than what you are currently experiencing with the original blade that came with the OneBlade set.

Not Worth Buying

I have been using the OneBlade for two years now. The original Skin Guard attachment in came with for sensitive areas is not great, but it does the job. I decided to purchase their "New" Skin Protect Replacement Blade. It's about two dollars more expensive compared to regular replacement blades and claims to have "unmatched skin protection". It's literally the same blade, and the only difference is that it has a plastic layer in the middle they call a "skin protection cap." The idea is that the cap is thicker than the blade, so it creates a small layer that stops the blade from touching your skin. However, the moment you angle it, or it's not a flat area, it exposes the little blades to your skin and cuts you. Safe and easy to use.

The Philips OneBlade 2 replaceable blades are easy to use with no risk of cutting yourself.They don't irritate my skin like other products.When using the comb on the lowest setting the blade gives me a really close shave but not too close to cause skin irritation. The blades are quick and easy to use and they don't miss hairs or leave patches, they just leave me with a nice even stubble.The hair on my chin and neck can be course and tough, however these blades glided through them without any pulling or tugging on the hair which can be quite uncomfortable.They can be used wet or dry and give a great shave either way.The interchangeable blades for face and body are very useful. The shaver is great, quality of the blades sucks

What use to be a great razor, is becoming trash. The replacement blades suck(I bought the more expensive ones). At first buying the replacement blades, they would last a couple of months now if I use them, they barely last a month when they say that they should be lasting up to four months. The quality has gone down. My new blade I’ve only used three times and it’s already need to change. Of course they can’t give us quality stuff anymore because all they care about is making the most amount of money. 🙄
