Philips Norelco Nose Trimmer 3000, for Nose, Ears Eyebrows, NT3600/62

Not a whole lot to say about this "detail trimmer" aside from the fact that it works, uses an AA battery (not rechargeable) and is a bit intimidating on first use. Philips guarantees no pulling, and, in initial uses, it stands up to that guarantee. There is a Philips produced video online showing different ways to use and clean the device, but essentially, you can use either head for the ears and nose. But be careful. Best Buy's product specs suggests that it comes with a travel pouch, but I did not see one. The product specs page also suggested it has a 50-minute run time and takes an hour to recharge but it is NOT a rechargeable product.I'll probably still use the mini grooming scissors for strays, but the Philips Norelco Nose Trimmer 3000 is a good, inexpensive tool to have on hand for routine ear and nose hair maintenance.

I got this ear, nose, and brow detail trimmer to replace a very old trimmer I got at my High School graduation. I won't say how old it is, but it is the same model Fred Flintstone used. So far I really like this detail trimmer by Philips Norelco. The heads are easy to change out for the different functions. More importantly, the blades are sharp and cut cleanly. You truly don't experience any pulling especially when trimming inside your nose. One round blade trims the inside the nose, another oscillating blade trims in and around the ears, and then there are 2 guides that slip over the ear blade for the eye brows. I have used Philips Norelco products for a long time and I've never experienced any problems. It would also make a great present for a recent graduate, Father's Day, etc. I highly recommend this detail trimmer for its quality and great price.

I’ve owned many different brands of these kind of trimmers, most more expensive, and I’ve yet to come across one with the exceptional ability to easily catch the most evasive hairs inside my nose. Maybe it’s my nose, not the trimmers.This Norelco model is no different in that respect, but like the others, with some maneuvering it did eventually cut my hairs down including the pesky ones. I couldn’t find what the asterisk indicated, but in my experience, while I didn’t feel any painful pulling I could feel some tension as my hairs were being mowed down.I don’t have a lot of ear hairs but do have a few strands that perpetually disgust and embarrass me. Here the dual head trimmer is invaluable as I can easily target these incorrigible villains. To trim eyebrows use one of the two supplied attachments that fit on the dual blade trimmer. This is nice to easily get misbehaving eyebrows that grow outward. Presumably it can also thin out bushy brows, but I could not try that out since I don’t have “volume” there. A neck hair trimmer is not included with this model.The build quality is good. No surprise it’s all plastic, but the trimmer has a nice in-hand feel with a texturized grip handle to prevent slippage during use. It’s one-speed so the switch is simple on/off. The dual blade trimmer for both nose and eyebrows comes attached, and a rotary blade for nose hair only is packed in along with the two aforementioned brow attachments. Also included is a “AA” battery. The trimmer is battery powered only.There are a couple of missing features here, to be aware of -- I supposed expected at this price point. First, while the trimmer heads can be rinsed out while attached, the trimmer itself is not water or showerproof. Second, no travel case or accessory pouch is included. You’ll have to supply your own to store the various included accessories. If you want either or both of these features look elsewhere. Bottom line here is that this model NT3600/62 trimmer is competent but basic, but also priced as such.
