Philips Over Ear TV Headphones

Excellent sound, I bought it because of the lenght of cable and posibillity of adjusting volume on cable.I use it on TV set and on MiniDisc walkman. When I put "HOLD" on, I can not adjuste the volume until I turn it off. But with these headphones I simply adjust volume on the wire. Love this product!!!

Excellent value. The sound is exceptional and I am extremely pleased. Do not care for wireless head sets. This was exactly what I needed. Thank you!

Better Than Price Suggests!

Bought these as an emergency stop gap, after my Hifiman 400's failed. Was skint, otherwise, I'd have been looking at similar to Hifimand. Was pleasantly surprised by these Philips! Good general fit, though headband is bare plastic, should be some cushioning. The cabling is reasonably quiet, but not on a par with higher end. Again, price point! I have no reasons to decry these headphones. They do a fine job at the price point. The 6metre cable means direct connection is decent. As with all kit, it depends on your hearing, tastes, and quality of source material, and that headphone path! If you need a cheap set of cans, these are hard to beat!

Great for non-Bluetooth Metal Detecting

Awesome and exactly what I needed for metal detecting. Cord is long enough and volume control is a plus. These are hard to find as headphones now are mostly blue tooth.

Light and comfortable

I am a pilot so must wear a headset for long periods while flying. These headphones are much more comfortable than my $250 pilot headset. The foam ear pads are soft, and do a good job of sealing in the sound. I also enjoy the light weight, but I wish the volume was a bit higher (I may be able to improve that with a headphone amp?).

Light, Great sounding Headphones

I only gave it a 4 because the Volume knob keeps getting snagged on things in my bedroom, If the volume knob was higher, Id give it a 5 star. Now what i like about these headphones They are nice and light, Great sound, Reasonable price, And i love the long cord. Id still buy another pair of these if i needed them.

Low Sound, But it has some redeeming qualities.

Part of me wants to give it fewer stars, based on the fact that the sound is not loud enough, even with the volume turned all the way up. However, it’s a pretty good value for $20, and luckily, I was able to configure my Casio piano, to play as loud as possible. Which still sounds lower than I would like, but it’s doable. For $20, it’s nice looking, feels pretty good on the head. I guess I can’t complain with that price. However, not everyone may be lucky enough to find ways to boost the volume to an acceptable level. Which may be a big problem for some.

SHP2500 Lightweight, plastic headphones

These lightweight (all plastic) headphones are comfortable in use, having soft foam ear cushions of 100mm in diameter. So quite big and bulky then. I find the sound quality only so-so and certainly not hi-fi, and the maximum volume level surprisingly low, but the inline adjuster wheel is a useful feature. The box carton description refers to them being ideal for television use, hence the 6 metre line length which, if not required, can be something of a nuisance ! Although these are very basic, the simple lightweight design and one-touch adjustment are redeeming features. Good value for money.

Pros: They a very comfortable to wear. I bought them for using on my laptop, but have also started using them when I practice playing my bass guitar. In fact they are more comfortable and I prefer them to my original "a lot more expensive" practice headphones. I think I might have to buy another set just for my guitar.Cons: There is nothing I didn`t particularly dislike. The two Jack-plugs that it already comes with, are a good idea. There is plenty of lead for when I`m prancing about with my bass guitar. Only one minor criticism if that, is the Left and Right marks on the ear-pieces could be a bit more prominent. If using them in a darkened venue or on a darkened stage its a bit awkward to just throw them on the correct ears.

Tight Fitting

Excellent sound quality and volume control on the cord!BUT they are very tight fitting, made more for teenagers or children than adults. I listen to music while I sleep and it is hard, but possible, to get them in a comfortable position.
