$749.00

(15 reviews)

The Philips Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Station with Instant Heating (ADD6901HBK01/79) brings cutting-edge water purification and heating technology into a sleek, compact appliance designed for modern homes. Using Aquaporin Inside — a biomimetic RO membrane tested in collaboration with NASA and ESA — it removes over 110 contaminants, including PFAS, fluoride, bacteria, microplastics, and heavy metals, ensuring you enjoy the purest water every time. This smart system delivers hot, purified water in just three seconds, offering preset temperatures of ambient, 45°C, 85°C, or 95°C to suit everything from baby bottles and tea to cooking and honey water. Four volume presets (150 ml, 200 ml, 300 ml, 500 ml) make it easy to fill cups, mugs, or pots with precision and no waste. A UV-C LED built into the water tank inhibits bacterial growth by up to 99.9%, keeping the stored purified water fresh and safe. Unlike traditional RO systems, this unit achieves an impressive 75% water recovery rate, drastically reducing waste and making it a more sustainable choice for eco-conscious households. With a 2,000 L filter capacity, the system helps save thousands of plastic bottles annually, while its plug-and-play design means no plumbing or installation is needed. The ClearSmart display keeps you informed about filter status, and the built-in safety lock prevents accidental burns from hot water. Compact, efficient, and beautifully designed, this RO water station elevates your hydration experience while reducing your environmental impact.

Actually amazing product. If you are looking for a tabletop no plumbing solution or just a fantastic RO water filter system this product is for you. Water taste great and filtration is fast. Would recommend this as you dont require any plumbing. The only set back i feel is the hot water component which requires flushing every time before use as it comes with a strange smell. Might go away over time as im noticing it less and less with each use. Solid product otherwise.Phillips please include the filters filtering contaminant list that would be helpful - thanks

Set up of this machine was easy. I was hoping that it also did chilled water so before buying just know that it doesn't. However it does come with 2 x jugs so one can just sit in the fridge. The machine itself looks great on the bench and takes up about the same space as my previous gravity ceramic set up. Water tastes nice and clean though I do wish we had more info about the remineralisation technology as I am now a bit worried I am lacking minerals and nutrients found in water.

Excellent clean water
23 February 2024

This is an amazing water filter machine. I’ve had my eye on it for a while, so when it came up in the sale at 20% off I jumped at the chance. Overall our family is very happy with the quality of the drinking water. Even my sceptical husband is impressed with the difference between tap water (which he had always drunk before) and how the RO water from this machine tastes. I’ve only removed a star off a 5 star rating for two minor issues. The water jugs, as others have mentioned, tend to spill a bit of water down the jug sides when pouring. The other issue is the little plastic adjustable “stand” for a cup - using it at the higher level feels so flimsy, the only thing holding it in place is a plastic clip that protrudes 1cm. Putting even the smallest amount of weight on it pushes the shelf down on an angle to the machine and feels like it will break any moment. Not ideal, especially if you’re filling with 100 degree water. We are thinking to put in some kind of makeshift support for it underneath using a bit of wood or foam or something. Other than that it’s an amazing, and we feel the minor issues are worth the great tasting water.

Luxurious Filter with a great water taste!
25 July 2024

After several weeks investigating, I managed to see this filter on sale in MYER and grab it to try it!! This device is impressive. Water does not have any weird taste which is Amazing but also the device finishes are stunning. One thing you need to know is that you will always need to have the Jug in place to be able get filtered water … this is because water passes several times over the filter and lands on the Jug ready to be served using it or pressing the “Droplet” button.

Not very happy with the product
3 September 2024

Bought this as gift for father's day gift. The water filtering process and taste are great but for such an expensive machine you would expect to get the spec as it advertised. We are on our 2nd machine (returning 1st machine), the temperature of the water are always wrong and for 100 degree option, max it get is 84 degree regardless what quantity we ask for. Secondly the water quantity that comes out is always 50 to 100ml more than the option we asked for. Both machines we have all have same issue. Philips is a reputable brand and should not make something not up to the spec they advertised.

Philips Aquaporin is a great product
28 June 2024

I was cautious about buying one of these as the cost is not cheap (same as a fridge) and there were mixed reviews. I can say that the water tastes great and the design is easy and convenient to use. I no longer store a jug of cold water in the fridge as I can get cold water direct and likewise only boil the kettle now if I need a large amount of boiling water >500ml. The jugs are very convenient to take off and use for ambient temp water if you don't want use the buttons. In terms of noise it is mostly very quiet with some compressor noise when it is re-chilling more water.Probably the area that could be reconsidered is the back 6L jug. The one jug is used for fresh water and also the "dirty water" (it's not dirty but is the water use on plants etc) that is lost ... MoreI was cautious about buying one of these as the cost is not cheap (same as a fridge) and there were mixed reviews. It would have been better if they used to jugs, a smaller one for run off water that could be lifted off and a larger one that could be filled with/without lifting it off the back of the machine

Philips RO water station

I was long considering a reverse osmosis system after my wife pointed me to a number of studies aimed to inform people about the harmful effects of fluoride and other substances in Sydney waters. Used Brita filters before to enhance the chlorine water taste but it does not solve the core issue. The complexity of the RO solution was what hold me off. As soon as I learned about the Philips RO water station, I was in. Got it in sale as an added bonus. It takes a bit of place on your bench but that is not an issue for me as it looks classy. With two kids around, I have to fill the tank 2 to 3 times a day. The amount of the waste water that gets tipped each time is less than I was expecting which means the filtration is pretty efficient. Taste of the ambient temperature water is great, no plastic aftertaste. I sometimes add a pinch of celtic salt to my drinking bottle to mineralise it back so lack of minerals in the water is not an issue. Have a pretty mineral rich diet in general as well. Hot water had some artificial smell initially. This goes away in time. The station also has swivel bottom so you can turn it as you wish. Has a child lock when you use hot water. Cannot fault it after 2 weeks of use.

Sleek Design Meets Unmatched Convenience

Have had this product for about 2 weeks now. The water from this Aquaporin Water Station is just next level. I used to think water was just water, but this thing proved me wrong. I'm never going back to tap water. The convenience of having both boiling and ice-cold water instantly available is a significant time-saver. A true essential for any household!

love the water station
18 August 2024

This is the second one we bought. The first one we bought is white. We have been using that one for more than one year. This year we moved to a new place with my partner and we decided to buy a new one for the new home. The design is very simple and the temperature is instant. We bought the first one for our newborn baby last year. Because we had to use baby formula from the beginning this water station gave us instant 45 degree water immediately and the water was filtered for baby to drink. There are two tanks that come with the purchase. We are happy that the second tank can be placed aside for cooking use.
