I'm really impressed with the Philips Shaver 5000X Series X5005/00 P-CAP. The cutting heads give a really close shave leaving your skin feeling smooth. I like the new design that allows you to stand the shaver up on the bathroom shelf or cabinet. It has a long battery life and a short recharging time. The overall design makes it easy to clean. A great product.

This product is presented in a really nice way with minimal packaging.Once you take it out of the box it is very easy to charge, just plug the cable into a usb plug and leave until the charging process is complete.To use the shaver there is a simple on/off button no need to do anything else! With the 3 heads that move it is incredibly easy to get a close shave everywhere without having to change shavers. The blades work great allowing a smooth finish without any cuts or scrapes. I have been using this razor for a while now. I have tried both wet and dry shaves with it and both fantastic. Even after not shaving for a week it still gives a close shave as good as a razor. It's very east to clean just a couple of mins and it's back to new again. Would I recommend it? Most definitely. Would I buy another? I already have for my dad and he loves it. It will easily go 5 -10 shaves on a full charge and charges in about 2 hours.

This is a great little shaver, being disable I sometimes struggle holding my arms up this is pretty lite and easy to hold.This managed to shave away a weeks over growth, had to empty a few times but this managed it.I have used shaves in the past that make you sore if you pass the same area, I had none of the soreness or irritation, but only when I had pushed too hard, this is because of me not the shaver and usually happens with most shavers and razor blades

The battery life has been great so far probably a good hours worth of use between charges. I do find it struggles with the whiskers under my chin as they grow in different directions but most electric razors I’ve used do. In terms of smooth shave I’d give around 4 out of 5 I found it needs a few passes in certain areas to get all the hairs. I currently use a higher spec electric razor from a different brand so was excited to see how this one compared. The shaver felt very good in hand and looks very nice. It has 3 separated rotating discs and they work really well giving a nice close shave. It did seem to struggle a little around my Adams apple and I had to reach of a manual, shave to catch the bits it left behind. All in all it's a very good razor and would suit someone who is just starting out with an electric razor as they won't be disappointed

This is the shaver I thought I didn’t need but I am so glad to have the opportunity to test this one. I usually use the Philips body groomer for chest hair but this 5000x is perfect and shaved closer. I also use this to shave my face and even using dry I have found zero irritation when all other shavers I have used have irritated my sensitive skin Other good points are u can use it wet or dry plus it’s so easy to just rinse under the tap!

What a nice surprise, this shaver really did give me a smooth shave, the best I have found. This model does not have a trimmer attachment but one does exist if like me you miss having a trimmer. The battery life is good, still going strong after two weeks. You will need to provide a USB charger.Overall this has turned out to be a really good shaver. The on/off switch can be locked into the off position, very usefull for craming it into your travel bag.
