Philips Sonicare - DiamondClean Smart 9700 Rechargeable Toothbrush - Lunar Blue

As a loyal customer of Sonicare, throughout the years I've tried their competition toothbrush but my teeth are much better satisfied with a Sonicare toothbrush! Which is why I am here to tell you how over the moon I was to open a brand new Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 electric toothbrush. It just so happens that close to my birthday my old Sonicare Diamond clean toothbrush stopped working permanently after 3 years (not the same model of course). Upon opening the box of this new set, I couldn't help but tell my husband all about the details of this new one! I was so blown away with the gorgeous blue design, the slick and modern USB travel case that has space for 2 toothbrush heads!! The charger glass is 3 pieces, the beautiful bottom golden like color, then a clear plastic stand piece, and on top is a clear glass cup. Looks amazing when charging! The fully charged toothbrush lasts 2 weeks without having to charge with use multiple times each day. The toothbrush itself connects to an App Android or Iphones. I have an Android, I set it up on my phone and it was super easy to use. Honestly, I learned more about brushing my teeth than I ever did in decades. My teeth have a super clean, smooth feel to them, and not to mention a refreshing mouth! Huge fan of the slick ergonomic design, my hands are on the smaller side and this toothbrush fits perfectly. Along with the toothbrush heads, I prefer it much better than other brands. It gets into the right spots, especially back teeth and side teeth and really gets the job done. The toothbrush itself has 5 modes: clean, white plus, gum health, deep clean plus, tongue care. My favorite one of all is white plus as I love to have my teeth super white. Smile is everything, especially in the modeling world or meeting another parent or teacher at school or date night with husband. Another huge plus about this toothbrush is that it not only guides you but lets you know when the pressure is too hard by lightning up the purple ring on the bottom, along with vibration. Something else I noticed, there are 3 bars in between 2 buttons, those are 3 modes to let you know what level intensities you'd want. I love that these brushes are reliable and the battery lasts years without having to replace the full brush. Very durable and reliable design and brand. Excellent quality product.

This is my fourth Philips, sonicare toothbrush, and it is my favorite one this far. It is highly effective at cleaning my teeth and overall my mouth feels fresher and healthier.  It is pricey, however, you receive ALOT of quality replacement brush heads and a tongue brush in this particular set, so that made this a smart purchase for me. I also really like the multiple brush settings. I haven’t used the App, but it’s great to know it’s there.  I look forward to my dentist appointments now that I am taking the best possible care of my teeth and gums. I highly recommend if oral care is a priority to you.

Ability to visualize your brushing

Philips Sonicare is a reliable brand as far as electric toothbrush is concerned. I have been using electric toothbrush for decades and only used Sonicare. I don't recall how many I used since my 1 Sonicare but I do remember that no a single one ever failed. I change them due to improve technology and the Diamondclean 9700 is hitting all the marks. Bluetooth technology makes is even better. The connectivity between the app and the toothbrush takes the guessing out of the game in term of quality brushing and gum care. A feature I haven't tried is tongue brushing.I love my sonicare diamondclean 9700 and I am looking for more years of use, and hope philips continues to make excellent electric toothbrush.

DoNotBuy; Owned 3 DiamondClean's All Quit Working

We've owned 3 DiamondClean toothbrushes over the past 5-6 years, all of which have stopped working, and coincidentally each one outside of the warranty period. Our first was the original Diamond Clean purchased at Target. In full discretion, I dropped it once from counter height and it landed on its side on our bathroom carpet over a tile floor. It worked for 6-8 more months but eventually stopped vibrating the brush head and just made noise. I'll take fault for that but that seems incredibly fragile for a $200+ toothbrush. Our second was the diamondclean smart brush purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond for $300 and this is the one that really upsets my wife and me. We liked the additional features (and the color) and wanted to upgrade. Yet with all that care and attention somehow the same exact thing happened, the handle makes noise and the brush head won't vibrate. I tried to submit a warranty claim yet conveniently the serial number "could not be found" by Phillips when I entered it in the claim portal. Neat. Lastly, prior to this handle dying we purchased an additional handle at Costo since my wife and I each wanted our own for when we travel for work. Guess what?!, now this third handle will no longer charge. I'm done, $600+ on toothbrushes?!? never again. Does anyone want to buy the 10+ heads I still have??

Excellent toothbrush

Although it might seem pricey, it’s worth it. This toothbrush does a great job. The real test will be when I see the dentist. It comes with different brush heads. There are specific brush heads for this model for certain features to work, like the app. There is a travel case included. The app helps keep track of missed areas. My teeth did get a little whiter and are clean. It’s a great quality too. I’d rather have a charge stand than cup that sits on a charger but the cup can go into the dishwasher.

Get it for the wireless charging cup! Great brush!

I've oscillated (no pun intended) between the Braun Oral-B brushes and the Philips Sonicare line for decades. Something about the sonic vibrations has always felt a little weird eg) tickling sensation on the gums etc. But every time I switch back to the sonicare from the Braun, I am reminded of how smooth and clean and slippery my teeth feel afterwards. They both work great, but the sonicare seems to do a bit better job when it comes to gums and polish. But after the last 3 years with a top of the line Braun, I just couldn't handle that gunk that forms at the bottom of the braun toothbrush and on top of the charging dock. I was washing my charger at least every 3 days and it was gross! I went on a quest to find a power toothbrush that had a better design. Last time I used a sonicare it had the same style charger as the braun and the same gunk problem. I found a japanese import model, the panasonic DOLTZ that had a clever ring hanger for the brush, but it was over 300 bucks with shipping and import tax so i kept looking. When I saw that philips introduced the glass cup charger I was like omg this is it! if it does end up getting gunky i can throw the glass in the dishwasher once in a while, so I took the plunge on this model. I'm not quite sure what the differences are between the models other than the accessories. I don't travel often so I probably didn't need to get the travel case, although it is very nice and sleek. This model came with a ton of brushes which i believe is why it's more expensive than the similar models. But once you take into account the travel case and the tons of spare brush heads, this model ends up being a good deal! Especially when you can find it on sale, like I did before christmas 2021. It's also very slender and sleek and made of a soft touch luxury plastic material. this new model doesn't drip liquid all the way down to the bottom like the old ones either. I believe the small gap between the brush head and the main unit does a good job in stopping the dripping, although this gap will have to be cleaned once in a while, so far I haven't noticed any gunk build up and it's been almost 3 weeks! I really love the thoughtful design of the charger and brush, it feels luxurious and I get that classic smooth clean tooth feeling after using it that you're used to. I highly recommend it!

New and Replacement broke within 3 months

Purchased this toothbrush and was excited about it. After about a month the brush stopped vibrating. The metal plate inside the handle seemed to disconnect. Philips was amazing and sent a new handle right away. Worked for about a month and the same thing happened. I am very careful with the toothbrush through care and usage. My last one I purchased from Costco lasted 10 years. I am about to purchase a 6100 series system as I don't feel comfortable spending $200-$300 on the 9700.

Teeth Feel Clean and Great iPhone app for the toot

It’s a great toothbrush; just use it once you feel your teeth are clean. I would highly recommend this toothbrush to anybody in the market for a better smile.This toothbrush is worth the investment up front and not having to give the dentist extra $$$ for extra dental repair services.The whole package comes with seven smart brush heads and one tongue head, and the fact that they’re smart, they countdown to how much more sessions you have with the toothbrush before you have to replace it, so already in the box, you get nearly half a year almost a year worth of brushes, so that’s a big plus.Last dental appointment received an excellent checkup from the dentist. No extra dental repair charges or additional appointments.

The Tesla of toothbrushes

The quality of the product overall every part of it is pretty good for the price which is what I would expect. I will start by saying that it probably is overkill when it comes to features and I have attempted to utilize as much as possible, but for someone with good dental health I have not seen any improvements other than psychologically I feel that I am taking better care of my dental health.The ability to charge the toothbrush on the travel case is a must in my opinion and my oral B brand smart toothbrush does not come with that so I’m definitely making the switch to this model full-time.If you want a guarantee that your dental cleaning is being the best that can then you cannot go wrong with this toothbrush, but you can also do that with probably something ... MoreThe quality of the product overall every part of it is pretty good for the price which is what I would expect. Works great until it doesn't

This is my second purchase of the Diamond Care, hoping the product had been improved. However, this second purchase has also turned out to be a dud. The stem will not hold any of the heads without making a loud noise and wiggling along the stem. It's like brushing my teeth and Lucy Ricardo is doing a skit out of it. The brush head will not stay on the stem, it flies off. The stem appears to be bent, out of the box but it worked for a good two weeks before it started the horrible noise and wiggling, eventually flying off the stem. This is a lot of money to spend on the teeth, worthy investment. The product itself is not rugged at all.
