I highly recommend this electric toothbrush for all purposes of cleaning, whitening, gum health care and tongue care. For example in whitening mode it cleans for 2mins 40secs, brushing in 6 sections for 20 secs and then switching to polish mode for two 20 sec segments. Gum Health is a 3min 20sec mode, and there’s even more options then what I’m listing. You can adjust your intensity level 1-3, and there is a brush head replacement reminder. Battery charging is excellent and I love the variety of options between glass cup base or a small standalone holder. Then there’s a travel case option too. I have owned many Sonicare toothbrushes over the years and this one is the best one. I like the different levels of intensity and various brushing features. I enjoyed using the Gum Health and Deep Clean specifically. However, I don’t find the Bluetooth brushing app very useful as least not for me. I have had this toothbrush for just two and half years and it just died on me. I took very good care of my toothbrush and cleaned it thoroughly each time after I used it. Unfortunately, after 2 1/2 years, the rubber seal for the metal shaft has failed and water seeped in. The inside of the handle was totally covered in water after I opened it and it was beyond repair. It looks like Philips has fixed the metal shaft issue but I hope Philips will find a way to make their rubber seals for the Sonicare much more durable and at the same time easier to clean out all that gunk accumulated there. The Sonicare, in my opinion, is one of the best electric toothbrushes on the market today except for the above unsolved issues.

Used a manual brush for all my life. Thought an electric brush was a joke and worthless. Even when both of my kids have an electric toothbrush they love. After hearing my gum line was deteriorating and teeth becoming more sensitive. I decided to get an electric toothbrush. Been using it for a few months now. Let me say I’m converted from a nonbeliever to a Big Believer/Fan. My teeth haven’t felt so good, clean or looked so white in a very long time. I’ve always had dental teeth cleanings at the dentist. As goofy as it sounds. Having the app to use and see while brushing teeth twice a day is helpful along with kind of fun to do each time. Never in my life did I think I would spend this kind of money on a toothbrush, but my friend assured me it would be a different experience. The man was right, of course! You are about to go through a life-changing experience with this toothbrush. It wasn't until I used this thing that I realized how badly I was brushing. There is so much power and it is so adjustable. A daily task like brushing becomes a daily experience thanks to the app, which provides gratification in knowing you have brushed perfectly and haven't missed anything. One of my friends justified the expense perfectly and I am raving about it to all my friends. A dentist visit would easily cost me $300 dollars, but for about $20 a month, I can avoid future dental work and rest assured that I am ... A dentist visit would easily cost me $300 dollars, but for about $20 a month, I can avoid future dental work and rest assured that I am brushing properly. It appears that the company offers a 30-day guarantee as well, so you really have nothing to lose but money in future dental work if you brush properly.I sound like an infomercial. Juist try this thing and tell me you don't feel the same way.
My first electric toothbrush was the first version of Sonicare. I switched to Oral B after a few years. When I switched back to Sonicare I got the first version of DiamondClean. I was astounded. It felt like I went to the dentist and received a professional cleaning from a hygienist! 6 years later that DiamondClean died. I knew I was gonna get another. Upon searching one out, I was surprised to discover that there were two versions that were even more advanced. I really wanted the Prestige just because I often try to get the best available, but the price was a little beyond my justified budget. And after reviewing these extensively, I determined that I was proficient enough to accomplish everything I need for an excellent teeth brushing experience with the DiamondClean 9300. Almost half the price of the prestige. I will say that if I was single and didn’t have kids and wife to provide for I probably would’ve gotten the Prestige. I just love the look of the case and some of the other technology benefits seemed great. So I got me and my wife the 9300, and connected them with the app, and I have been greatly enjoying the experience of having the app guide the areas to brush to make sure I cover each area sufficiently and for the optimal amount of time. This has helped me to be more patient with and to actually enjoy the process. I’m excited to keep my numbers up. Whereas I used to only brush for one minute, now I do a full two minutes. I also floss every night and wear my retainers every night again. Feels great to have great oral hygiene. Thanks Philips for an excellent product! It has improved greatly from the previous iteration. (also, my dentist prefers Sonicare to Oral B, now I see why) I also ordered the new A3 brush head which is excellent! Have to order separately as it seems to only come with the 9700 and 9900 versions.
I can't compare this toothbrush to anything recent since it's the first time I've used one in a very long time. Compared to when electric toothbrushes first came out, this is a big difference in how it cleans and provides feedback since it is a smart device. My teeth do feel cleaner and it makes the activity somewhat mindless since it notifies you when to move the brush to a different section of your teeth. So far I do like it and think it has been a great addition to keeping my teeth and gums clean. My only gripe is that I always end up with splatter from toothpaste everywhere. I brush my teeth once without turning it on to distribute the toothpaste first, but somehow I always end up with tiny splatter on me. I try to keep my mouth closed, but it's not that easy. ... I bought this toothbrush 2 years ago for its excellent characteristics relating to dental cleaning, used immediately 2 times a day and with the regular change of the heads (which are not cheap). Also carried on the road with the comfortable case, and always paid attention to a correct refill. Since yesterday the toothbrush no longer holds a charge, it is no longer even able to do a cleaning cycle. Assistance replied that since it cannot be repaired and is out of warranty, the only possibility is to throw away the current toothbrush and offers me a 30% discount voucher on the purchase of a NEW appliance (cost €200). It is outrageous that such a device should be thrown away because it cannot be repaired! In a historical moment attentive to the recovery and reuse of ... I feel confident that my teeth are getting a good cleaning with this brush, so I will focus on the bluetooth app, which could be better. First, for the deep cleaning setting, the app has you brush in 6 discrete areas, front and back. It can show you whether you are brushing in the designated area, but it doesn't always pick up the brushing, and it doesn't pick it up if you are outside the area. It would be nice if you could change the amount of time for each designated area, especially since you can mark areas that need more attention (but the app only marks the area graphically and doesn't add time). The app is designed to make the user want the teeth to turn all white, but even when you spend the allotted time in an area, the shading might be white on one side and ... The app is designed to make the user want the teeth to turn all white, but even when you spend the allotted time in an area, the shading might be white on one side and light gray on the other, leaving a less than optimal user experience. Furthermore, if you miss an area, either by not spending enough time or the app not reading, the app highlights the area in yellow and you are given 20 seconds per area to turn it white. If you continue brushing the app doesn't register the additional time beyond the overtime it has allowed. Another annoying factor is if I brush in the morning and then after midnight, it acts like I only brushed once during the day and gives me annoying helpful reminders to brush twice a day.
This toothbrush lives up to all it claims to do. I have Primary Progressive MS & it causes all sorts of challenges one would never think of. The retail cost was prohibitive for me. The company my son worked for became part of the Philips family, just before end of the year employees can purchase products at a lower cost. THANK YOU Philips! My son asked which one I wanted & he gave me the 9300. The app is a great motivator to brush correctly. It’s light enough that it doesn’t aggravate my tremors or fall out of my hand. Medications cause severe dry mouth & its helpful with that. It’s well worth the retail price if your budget allows. Charge lasts forever. Very Very pleased!
Ordered online for curbside pick up. Got home and realized I had been given an already opened box that had been taped closed. Noted that the brush heads were still in sealed packaging, so decided to charge the toothbrush and give the benefit of the doubt that the box had perhaps been opened accidentally. Brush heads do not fit securely on the handle unit and there is absolutely zero Sonicare-style cleaning happening. Handle buzzes but brush heads feel like brushing with an old fashioned, analog toothbrush. Been a Sonicare toothbrush user for years and extremely disappointed in this product and the Charlotte Northlake Target store for thinking it was okay to give a customer an open box personal hygiene item. My guess is this had to have been a returned Christmas ... MoreOrdered online for curbside pick up. Got home and realized I had been given an already opened box that had been taped closed.
