Love the look of this navy-blue toothbrush. It's slimmer than prior models and feels both lighter and easier to use. However, the fatter base may have been an important feature in the creation of the sonic vibrations. Unless we are barely touching our teeth, the pitch of the brush changes and we start to feel an almost "chump-chump-chump" kind of bumping in the vibration. In order to avoid this, like I said, we have to brush so lightly that we may no longer be doing ourselves any good. We'll see what the dentist says on our next visit. Until then, I will assume we are getting our moneys worth out of this beautiful new brush.

I had to replace my Sonicare toothbrush that I had for three years after it broke and bought this model, which replaced my previous model. I thought that I would be getting the same quality that I had before with my previous model, but it has not been the case. The motor in this model is not as powerful as it was in the previous model I had before. I am also noticing that I have to charge this model a lot more frequently. This model also doesn't come with the plug outlet that goes into the socket, but if you reach out to them directly, they will provide you with one. However, even on the higher speed it still does not exude the same performance as the other model they had. My previous model made me feel like I came out of the dentist with each use while being gentle at the same time. Many times this model makes me feel like it's not cleaning like it should. I don't know why they changed the quality of the product with this model. Although I know this model is the more economic model of their brands, it's not worth the price you pay when you have to continue to buy the brush heads for a model that doesn't clean as it should. I do not recommend it.

This is the third electric toothbrush I've owned. The last one was really nice. It had a wide range of features but I bought from a brand that doesn't seem to offer toothbrush head replacements! So, this time I chose a respected brand I'm familiar with and have confidence that I can go to any local retailer and replace the toothbrush heads.I really appreciate the time and the pressure sensor. As someone likes to brush and has been an aggressive brusher at times, this toothbrush with these settings is amazing! I look forward to years of use and glad I was able to get this brush.

I got this brush for both me and my 6 year old. I originally got her the kids oral-b brush but returned that after seeing the mold issues with that brush, because ew. I did some research to make sure it would be ok for her and it is. The brush has a sensitive mode that helps with the tickle feeling and it’s small enough for her and for me to clean around my “out of bite” wisdom teeth. The brush that comes with it is soft enough for both of us. It hasn’t caused either of us any irritation and leaves our teeth feeling very clean. I’d been using a regular manual brush before this and my mouth feels so much cleaner in the morning since switching to this. Afterall, they're in the business of selling replacement heads! It's like Gillette giving out free razors so you'll buy the replacement cartridges. So I found a few recommendations of what features are necessary. The 4100 had them all:1. Zone timer: 30 seconds a zone (upper right, upper left, lower right, lower left) is a little more time than I'd typically spend, so the zone timer forces me to linger 5-10 seconds longer.2. Pressure sensor: I'm a hard brusher. I destroy my toothbrushes. At the end of 3 months they're frazzled and needing therapy. Having my brush warn when I'm pressing too hard is huge.3. Charge notice: An electric toothbrush with a dead battery isn't as good as a manual toothbrush, so getting notified that I have 1-2 more cleanings left reminds me to charge it up so it never dies on me.I used the Sonicare for about a week and noticed a significant difference in the staining. As mentioned, I floss irregularly, and I've noticed that when I do floss (2-3x/week) there's significantly less buildup now as compared to before. I've had the Sonicare for over a month and I use it exclusively. I haven't touched my manual brush. Yes, it takes about 30-40 seconds longer to brush than I would have spent (because of the zone timer--I am loyal to it!) but it's two whole minutes. That's not a lot of time. Probably took you longer to read this review.I'm really happy with it. As opposed to my experience with the Oral-B, the brush head is small, so I can brush closed-lipped, so there's no foam splatter on the mirror. I just brush like I used to, but in super-slow motion. I make sure I get all the tooth surface, and there's enough time to go over each multiple times to ensure I get the gumline all the way up to the chewing surface before the timer tells me to move to the next section.The vibration takes a little getting used to, but it's really not bad at all. It can sound loud in your head, but it's fairly quiet to other people.I think my only complaint is that after the 4th quadrant, the toothbrush shuts off. At this point, I've brushed each section well, but there's part of me that wants to do a final sweep. It's total overkill, but because the brush is off, I end there and don't. I'd just like if the brush ran 15 seconds more after the final notice before shutting off.

I have one implant and the high intensity gives me just a bit of an uncomfortable feeling when I am brushing around that tooth. So I switch to the lesser intensity. I think I am doing a good job brushing, but the inside of the bottom left-side teeth may not be getting as good a brushing as the other teeth. I just don't feel the brush head on these teeth like I do the others. But that's on me learning how to better adapt. I do brush twice a day now and the 30-second timer is good to have. I have been using an electric tooth brush for 11 years. Recently I bought a Phillips again because I liked their model from 11 years ago so much. Well their quality has gone down significantly. The battery last for maybe 3 days before the light starts blinking red. The button has a hole wearing in it.Unfortunately Phillips is not making the kind of products that they used to. My previous Phillips toothbrush lasted 6+ years, this one has not lasted a year. I will be purchasing from a different brand next time.
I purchased the Phillips SoniCare 4100 because I needed brushes for my older model, so decided to upgrade. I was tired of having to clean the old toothbrush so black mold would not form under the screw cap that holds the brush in the power unit. When the new 4100 toothbrush arrived, I was surprised to find the base was black and the brush was white and the brush looked like it was designed for a child (C2). I also had difficulty getting some of my lower back teeth clean. I have since ordered a subscription for the black C3 brush and I am happy with this new brush. It is supposedly designed to get rid of more plaque, and in fact, it does a much better job for me than the C2. I am more pleased now with the C3 brush.
Love the QuadPacer. So helpful that lets me brush all my teeth with equal time. I also like the slim design. My other Phillips toothbrush handle was quite a bit fatter. What I did not like was the light on the brush handle. Light is VERY dim. Can hardly see it. Also since I already had a Philips Sonicare toothbrush that was excellent vibration, pressure( though quite old) etc I felt I did not need the Easy start. When trying to deactivate the green light, amber light feature did not work. So I do not like this feature and I do not know whether it’s on maximum pressure or not. This definitely does not have the vibration of my old Philips Sonicare which is very disappointing.
My comments are't specific to this model but more so to the models right before it. I have using the premium version for a few years. I like the funxtions, for, etc. My issue is the durability. They seem to last for about two years before they break down - will not vibrate, will not charge, etc. The first one stopped functioning within warratnly. As a gesture sonic gave me a couple bristle head packages. The second one borke down just after the warratnly time. If it were not for the extended warranty offered by the CC i would have quit using them a long time ago. With that refund from the CC i bought another, i fiAXgured may i had bad luck streak. Nope, this one two broke down, thanksfully within warranty.
