This is a robust pipe joiner that looks as if it will last a while.I tried this to overcoming the failure of a hard plastic connector between the hose handle and the steel rod of a Wertheim 5030 vacuum cleaner. We bought the vac in 2007 in NZ and it has worked without fault since then, until the plastic connector cracked.I didn't like the idea of trying the range of '32mm' new rods/connectors advertised on the web as I could not be sure that the mm scale measurements and claims were going to match up in reality (rods being advertised for $100). And as my wife and son remarked, the connector looked as if it was meant to be there in place.Well done Bunnings for selling the connector. Well done designer for creating a versatile connector.Hope that is helpful.
