I am newish to cat ownership, so I tried a few different things when it comes to litter. I would consider myself sensitive to scents and dust, so I was easily turned off by cheaper clay-based litters with artificial scents. I LOVE this litter because there is very little dust, and maybe only the slightest of a natural "hay" like smell. I only smell that when cleaning out the litter, and it doesn't bother me at all. It clumps really nicely, and lasts a month before needing to be changed. The extra cost is worth it IMO.

I’ve done extensive amount of research on what the best cat litter would be for my new kitten, and came across this tofu litter and it’s life changing. We originally started her with clay litter which smelled awful. We transitioned her to this and she took almost immediately with no problem. It doesn’t smell like anything - maybe a light scent some people say vanilla, it has almost no tracking & is so easy to clean. When I scoop the litter box - it doesn’t smell at all, no one even can tell we have a litter box in our bedroom & main living area. I love this box option and have only ever found this size on chewy (: I recommend to all my cat friends - will definitely change your life!!

I have two Persians with scent issues, which I have as well. After Ever Clean took a dive, I tried many many different litters and they all either were dusty, had a scent, despite being labeled scent free, tracked horribly, and were awful at scent control. The I saw this litter, and despite my fear of getting yet another crummy litter, I had to give it one last try, and I hit pay dirt. Totally scent free, zero dust, great on scent control, and very little tracking. As you can see, the price is steep, but all the litters are a ridiculous price now and don't work nearly as good as this one. I don't have to change out litter for over a month so far. I am so happy and relieved to find this, just wish it was a bit less expensive, but I stretch it out as far as I can.

We wanted a natural litter for our new kitten that was low tracking and not dusty. Decided to try this, as we’d used various ones over the years (corn, walnut, pine, newspaper, etc.) We were slightly swayed by another review who said they lived in NYC and with limited space and didn’t want the smells. No smells. No dust. Little tracking of any (a few off pieces here and there). Did we mention no smell?!? Granted, small kitten, small pees. Small poops. But her poop has been varying as we’ve tried to figure out her food. We did flush one pee clump with no issues in a NYC apartment & prewar plumbing (also kinda interesting watching it break down prior to flushing). We scoop daily (or every few hours) as we want the kitten to get good habits of a clean box. Pricey but ... MoreWe wanted a natural litter for our new kitten that was low tracking and not dusty. So I gave this litter 3 stars. Pros: it looks pretty in the box, comes in a nice bucket, it clumps well, flushes well, tracking is there but minimal.Cons: Doesn’t do much for smell, the poo smell is definitely there and that was one of the main things I was really hoping would improve with this litter. For the price it didn’t impress me enough to continue to buy it. You don’t need a special scoop to scoop this litter. All in all it’s cool looking, doesn’t track a whole lot, easy to stir, but doesn’t do much for smell. I really wanted to like this product so definitely disappointed
This litter has almost everything I was looking for in a litter.I would say 99% less tracking. Very very little dust, if you can even call it dust. Just seems to be small about in the litter box. I like unscented litter, but this one has a light scent but not like perfume, so it is much better and easier to handle. Clumps very well. Only think that worries me is one of my cats seems like he wants to taste it when he fines a piece on the floor. So far I feel this is the best litter I have found. A bit pricey, but worth it if you can afford it.
Bought this as ive seen one review from here that it was good on robot litter. Bought x2 since it was cheaper.Urine clumping: goodPoop clumping: very poor. Does not cover the poop. It even scratch out from the box by my cat. When the automatic litter done it’s cleaning cycle, ive seen remnants of the poop not covered with the tofu/bentonite blend litter. So i pressed another cleaning cycle to remove the poop that has not been clumped with the cat litter. Still few remained.Dust: i feel like it is true to what it says that it does not give dust as much as other litters have.
We use this at our cat sanctuary for one “group” of cats, so it holds up to three cats using two boxes. I do have to add additional litter after a few days, which is not uncommon with any litter. This is tofu litter only better. We all know that tofu litter has almost no tracking or dust, but it wears out quickly and has zero odor control. It’s also costly and so is this, but it goes further than plain tofu litter. With the added elements to this litter, it clumps better and last longer. This is unscented, which is best for a cat’s respiratory system. There is no noticeable urine odor, unlike with the plain tofu. We do scoop our boxes often though. The cats adjusted to it with ease. Helpful tip: I add extra plain, tofu litter to make this litter go even further. ... MoreWe use this at our cat sanctuary for one “group” of cats, so it holds up to three cats using two boxes. I would use this throughout our sanctuary but it just isn’t cost effective so we use grass litter in the other boxes.
my pic is of a dirty box- this litter is 3 weeks old.I have two cats, each has their own box- each catbox gets about half a tub of the litter to begin with. I add more litter as I scoop and it really does last a whole month. So what’s great about this litter:NO DUSTVERY LITTLE TRACKINGSAFE ON CATS PAWSSAFE ON ENVIRONMENTCLUMPSMASKS ODORSdoesn’t have a flowery-pee smelllasts an entire monthWhat could be better:poo odor controlA few months ago I switched back to clay due to expense. But then after dealing with that smell and that mess- the extra $10 per month is worth it.
Small apartment in dusty prewar building in brooklyn Two American shorthair cats Only room for one large litter box in living room. No where else fits. so trying to get the best odor eater. I’ve used feline pine smells great but doesn’t clump so tricky to clean. I’ve tried clumping pine but doesn’t really clump and less odor absorption. Other clumping litters corn, paper, clay all fail the odor test. Walnut was best for clumping and odor BUT dusty and cats covered in brown dirt. yes I’ve tried the chemical ones like fresh step too and odor crystals. It’s more like masking the odor. And perfumes are too strong. Anyway this stuff is very expensive but right now it’s a miracle worker for my situation. Eats odors not dusty doesn’t smell, clumps great FOREVER
