The Pilot Capless Raden Minamo fountain pen features a traditional Japanese technique known as Raden. The technique is to insert beautiful abalone shell pieces into the lacquered barrel and make them a Minamo (water surface) pattern. The hand-crafted process can take months to complete, making the Raden fountain pen truly an artwork. Like other Capless fountain pens, the Raden Capless also features a well-balanced metal body with an 18k gold rhodium-plated nib. The nib retracts smoothly into the pen body with a click of the end button. The metal body, hidden by its matte-black finish, helps to give the pen weight and balance for a very comfortable writing experience. This fountain pen comes with its own gift box. It includes one blue Pilot ink cartridge and a metal cartridge cap. This cap will protect the cartridge from the nib retraction mechanism.
