I used to hate the Frixion pens because the ink looks gray rather than black. I'd equate it to the color and saturation of pencil. With time, I've gotten used to this and I find it's bearable, given all of the other perks of these pens. The 0.7 black clicker pen is my go-to pen for planning. The only thing I find annoying is the noisy clicker, which rocks back and forth when you write and makes a constant clicking noise.

Overall as a pen, it's great. The gel formula ink is great to write with, and the color is super fun. I left a writing sample in my hot California car last week to test out how long it can stay in high heat before the writing disappears, and I'm excited to report that in my backseat, out of direct sunlight, the ink didn't fade enough to become illegible. It only faded if I pushed it down directly on the burning hot dash board (which is much hotter than simply sitting in the shady back seat). Exposing it to my air conditioning vent *sort of* revived the ink, but per the product description, I think the only air cold enough to really bring back the writing is a freezer. If I had realized this pen came in smaller tip sizes, I would've purchased a 0.5, as 0.7 is just a ... MoreOverall as a pen, it's great. Notebooks, letters, and larger pieces of paper would be good applications for this pen, though.

I started using this type of pen since I live in Japan, it is so popular there, the original version is from japan but I don’t know why it is kindda expensive there compare to US. One time I show how to erase after use for this pen to one of my coworkers he was so impressed. It is so convenient that you can keep things clean just by using this pen!! My desk always have several of this with all kind of color!!

Generally, these work very well with normal paper. Although, I mainly bought these for my rocketbook which I will review towards the end. Going back to paper, it’s amazing that ink can be erased off of paper SO easily! In some instances it leaves a faded yellow-ish outline of what you erased—but most of the time it doesn’t, I’m not sure what causes it. VERY helpful for notes and calendars or anything of that sense! Erasing causes no ware on the paper and looks as good as new!

I’ve been an avid Bullet Journaller since 2016, and during that time I’ve rotated between functional planning and “pretty planning.” So often, I’d end up making a mistake with my pen and ripping out the page completely to start over. Although I’ve overcome some of those perfectionist tendencies, I love this pen for the fact that it lets me erase mistakes! I use it daily and without hesitation knowing I can fix a misspelling quickly. Love them.

It is not my favorite eraseable pen at all. Now, I can acknowledge that erasable pens cannot be extremely pigmented because it would leave marks behind your paper and the eraser cannot be too tough because it can tear through paper but it is still not my fave. The ink is grey. In no way close to black and when it dries it is ever lighter than that. It looks obvious on documents and I am not a fan of that. At all. The eraser is flimsy. the first time I used it, I was not rough with it and it rubbed right off and tore through a document on my page. A document I had no duplicate of. As soon as I got a chance to give away these pens I did. I must give the two stars for the packaging. It was expensive feeling. Not flimsy at all. Very comfortable to use. I take a lot of notes and it lasted through that the one time I tried it after my document ripping disaster. If you want to take the chance, go ahead but you are much better off getting a non-eraseable amazing pen from the rest of their collection.

Don’t use it for a promissory note.

Money well spent! I recommend using the FriXion 0.7 mm Clicker Erasable Gel Pens unless you intend to write a document or letter that you don’t want to be altered in any way. The bottom line: don’t use it for a promissory note if your husband owes you a foot massage. Other than that, it’s quite nice to use. It’s comfortable to hold, writes smoothly, erases awfully well and seems to last longer than other erasable pens. My 3rd-grade grandson enjoys using these for his schoolwork and sketching. He loves the fact that they have an assortment of vibrant colors to choose from.
