I bought two units last year and have decided that they're not worth buying and won't be purchasing again. The issues I've had were:1. On one leg the keyholes were out of alignment-replaced under warranty2. The legs started to buckle.3. Shelves were destroyed in the floods and pinnacle doesn't sell replacement shelves.Now the units are pretty much useless as I would have to pay for wood and cut the shelves to size.Next time I'll spend a little more and buy the rack-it system.

Bought 3 of these shelving units believing they were the same as a former product, which was well made and designed. The former could have the centre shelf placed to lock both units together securely. This product does not, leaving the top section joining unevenly and likely to fall or tip over because it lacks vertical strength (very wonky). This new design remains as two units held by soft pins. When compared to old unit, the uprights ended in full key holes and a full cut edge. This monstrosity ends in cut edges through the keyholes, making it impossible to secure. Unfortunately I had already painted the shelves before realising this wasn't the same good quality, and it was too late to return for refund. Dud purchase and dud product.

Purchases two units. First unit was perfect. Went together easily, feels quite sturdy (it is in the laundry holding bulk detergent, cleaning supplies, bulk cat food, litter). This unit however was a dud. One of the upright posts is bent & the little rubber feet things seem to have come out of the injection molder incorrectly & are warped to the point that they cannot be used. I have been unable to straighten the upright so will be unable to complete the build. Will be returning for replacement or refund if I am not to late (did not assemble right away as I did not have the room built).

Further to my 1-star review above/below: instead of using my own bits of cut up angle to hold this thing together during construction, I laid the parts out on the floor and glued them in place with Liquid Nails. This includes the brackets that support the shelves, that do not readily fit into the slots without shaking others loose. Now I can stand it up I still need to bolt it to the wall, although I might just make it free standing and increase the load bearing by tack welding some 6mm rebar to the easily bent upright slotted posts ( can bent with two fingers). With that I might be able to actually bang the studded bracket down into the slots.Pure junk.
I bought a MaxRack from M10, and man the build for that shelf took a while since the locking mechanisms were not easy to slot in and had to use the mallet (a lot) to get everything in perfectly. Compared to this Pinnacle one, I was really pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to assemble the frames and put in all the slots easily without very much effort. I still had to use the mallet but just lightly tapping in each corner to make sure they are secured and locked - and the assemble time was really quick, not sure if that was because I already had experience putting one together but I was not put off with the assembly.Wife was v pleased that the garage looks much tidier now.
Bought it today. Reasonably happy with it. For the price can't complain but will admit that the way the unit stacks is a bit average. Found setting the mid shelf at 947mm from the ground helped sturdy the second stack. Yes it is angle iron on angle iron and its probably 1.2mm thick steel uprights if you take the powder coat off. Still happy though it supports weight as stipulated.
Once it's put together, it does the job *except* that the MDF shelving is still outgassing ten days later. I was going to use it for clothes and bedding in a closet, but am reluctant to put anything on it while it still pongs. If this concerns you, get wire shelving. Who knows how long this is going to take. Assembly takes a bit of doing, and especially early in the process is easier with two people. You do need a block of wood to whack the pieces together. The two vertical halves of the frame are held together with nothing but 4 long pins between the 2 sections of the 4 vertical posts. They're too easy to bend during assembly. Poor engineering. Summary: would not get something with MDF shelves again. The shelving itself is adequate.
Generally good product, but with one significant failing - the method of joining top and bottom legs. A thin pin is supplied which slides down in the inside corner to support the legs which otherwise simply sit on top of one another. Because the machining of the legs leaves incomplete shelf bracket holes the brackets spanning the join do not have a complete locking effect as is the case with other simiklar shelves purchase from Bunnings. I was so concerned that I have made up aluminum right angle brackets mounted externally on each join and securely bolting the two legs!!!
Quite good overall. I bought two to place side-by-side and they have allowed me to sort out the garage really nicely. Ideally have two people to assemble; it can be done with one person but it gets fiddly at a couple of points and the third and fourth hand will be, erm, handy. Probably also worth thinking a little about which things will be stored and how (you have some flexibility in terms of shelve height), and to plan on reserving the highest shelves for only quite light items. These do get a wobble on with even moderate weight up high. Mine are on the opposite side of the garage to the car, just to be sure.But yes, these are fine at the price and for most people with only moderate expectations will be happy with these.
