If you are looking for an alternative to the cdj-2000 that will not cost you an arm and a leg and you don’t need the CD loader, this one is just right. It performs great, the touch screen is clear and easy and all functions are right where you need them. Compared to the first version the loop mode has moved to the performance screen which is personally to me not a good idea, but that being said, it’s a minor issue. Also, the dial from the CDJ where you can adjust how thight or loose the jog wheel feels is missing, and that should be there if you are not exactly a subtle, light-touch user like me.But overall: fantastic piece of gear that is ideal for home use.

I little dubious about getting a pair of these, but once you start using they are great. Especially if you cannot afford the 3000.The only disappointment is gready pioneer!!!!! You cannot use your laptop with the XDJ 1000's, I moved from controllers to these to find out you need to pay a subscription to use in midi or link mode to scroll your library on your laptop.You can pay 200 for a mixer and have more functionality than a 4.200 set up, disgusting.

Rekordbox software has come a very long way and version 4 is very user friendly, effective, and accurate at beat slicing/matching. The only thing it doesn't have is a CD player and a jog wheel tension adjust knob. But everything else on this turntable is very impressive. Excited about the YouTube videos and promotions praising them for being almost the same like Pioneer's top model, I bought a pair for home to practice, only to find out that there was no wave form coming up on the screen, it stayed black. Pioneer didn't offer any support, so I returned them. A few weeks later I bought another pair, all new. They didn't work either, didn't recognize my thumb drive, so I bought a new PDY elite thumb drive for $75 just to make sure. Didn't work either. Spent many hours with all those issues, all in vain. Don't get fooled with Pioneer's bragging about all the formats like AIFF, FLAC, ALAC, WAV, MP3, AAC, iPad, iPod, iPhone, iPad Air,... they support, it's a joke, a terrible product, plus absolutely non existing customer service by Pioneer.
I got this player in 2019 and after 2 years of using it I can say I chose perfectly. All the functions this bad boy comes with are great for a home setup. Once you get used to it and analyse your track trough Rekordbox everything becomes much more enjoyable. The only thing I don t really like is the quality of the plastic body. It doesn t feel premium but comparing to a high end players like cdj2000, you re saving a lot of money. Apart from a couple of details compared to cdj2000, this player gives you basically the same functions.
I have always wanted to own my own setup at home to gain practice for the club environment. I had contemplated on buying the CDJ 2000NXS2s long ago but that plan did not work out as expected. So I opted for a pair of XDJ 1000Mk2s in a package with the DJM 900NXS2 and I can honestly say that I am completely satisfied with my setup! The build quality is very good (albeit on the light side), considering no cd player was implemented. My only problem is the lack of jog wheel adjustment, which in my opinion would have made this model perfect for a digital-only player. Still would give these a 10/10.

Decks look great feel okThe in and out reloop buttons are lighter in colour and the toggle for tag/track selection is tighter compared to my other 2 xdjs. These arent major issues.No actual problems with the functionality of the xdj.A great addition to my set up.Very Happy customer
