This might work great for a less curious kitty. My 11 month old, destroyer of fountains, was unable to disassemble it! Yay! It's very smooth, no good edges to sink his paws or claws into to rip it apart. HOWEVER it was lightweight enough, even filled to capacity, for him to completely flip on its side. Water everywhere. It took him two days to figure it out but once he did there was no stopping him. No more fountains for us. My older kitties keep looking for it, they love it. I truly wish I could find one he can't destroy.

Our cat loves this fountain and finds it very easy to use. We switch out the filters regularly and for a long time, had no issues. After about two months, we noticed that there was minor dirt buildup throughout the fountain. After switching filters this past month, we noticed a large amount of dirt/mildew buildup coming from the lower spout of the fountain that isn't protected by the filter. After a deep cleaning with Q-Tips in and around the spout (where we can reach), the fountain seems to be running much better. Overall, the fountain works great and our kitty loves it, but we reccommend you do a deep clean every time you change your filters to make sure there's no leftover gunk getting in the water.

Some of the reviews scared me a little bit. But I was very pleasantly surprised. This thing is quiet. And I mean dang near silent. The only time you hear it is when it’s low on water. That part is true. But it’s still a lower sound than my last fountain, which was a catit. My Balinese loves this thing. She tries to catch the water that pours down the sides. It’s also super cute, it looks like a yin and yang from above. Definitely get it. We both love it.

I am pleased! I have one of these fountains that I got years ago. This one is same except the top on old one is Black and the bowl is White. Very easy maintenance and quiet. Boo Boo loves the fountain.This is replacing the older one as it is beginning to show its age. Old motor still runs. If this one lasts as long as the first fountain, I will be a very happy camper. Great size and price is very reasonable. We love it.
I really wanted to love this fountain. The design is beautiful and effective at managing my long-haired cat's fur. But the motor rattles the pieces something maddening. It's very loud.
Two weeks of ownership and the pump has started to become a little more audible than expected, but otherwise still pumps water. Some improvements I would like to see: mesh filtering ahead of the carbon filter, more color options, improvement to the upper part where the water falls - this part tends to trap fur with animals that prefer drinking from up there, I think it should flow a little more freely though slots instead of holes. Also, the manufacturer behind this needs to provide replacement pumps.Things I like: two main parts, plus pump; if the power goes out, you still have water access for your animals.
My 4 cats, ranging from 7 months to 18 years old, LOVE this new water bowl. The motor is very quiet, the water bubbly is very relaxing and the shape makes for easy access no matter the age of your pet. My kitties have different drinking habits and this feature gives them options; drink from the well below, drink from tier on top or drink from the water flowing down the front sides. The large capacity of water it holds means I only fill it once a day. It's very easy to disassemble for cleaning and assembles quickly and easily. I add ice cubes to the top tier for extra cold water during the summer months. I am very pleased with this purchase and so are my fur-kids. I recommend this product to any pet owner.
Keep the motor part very clean!! We thought ours died but turns out Cat saliva is extremely sticky. Hot water and soap and run it for about 4 hours and it will start running again. We have 3 cats and we clean this thing weekly but we never paid much attention to the motor cleaning. We have had it for 8 months now and it only gets about 8 hours of rest monthly!. Its still running like a champ but if it seems to run slow then just use the soapy hot water trick! All n All its worth the money. Especially for our 3 very different cats. One likes the water fall part. One likes where the motor spits out the water. And the other likes the moving water in the black part of the bowl.
My cat would never drink sitting water. She would race me to the bathroom or kitchen, mewing like It's dinner time, but really just liked the running water. That was my sign to get her s fountain. It's honestly really cute and cheap. I love it. It's not silent but I liked the humming white noise. After having it for 3ish years the motor died. So shopping for a new one is why I'm leaving this review. Good product. Clean it often or you'll get build up, and pour a big cup of water in it every couple of days. It may just last you longer than it did for me!
So this was great when I first got it. Super awesome all the way. We rescued kittens and they were not getting enough water so I bought the fountain to entice them to drink which it did! But I’ve had it awhile and it seems the pump isn’t strong even tho we are cleaning it every other week to ensure good flow. I can see the pump loosing its strength. This would be a great product if the pump lasted. Otherwise it’s done it’s job for what I bought it. The kittens loved it. The adult cat loves it. They are so snobby it’s the only thing they drink from now! And I really like the design, plus it’s quiet. But I have to refill it daily with the amount of cats drinking from it. You can hear the pump when it’s loud. So we make sure to top it off daily and it’s no big deal.
