Pioneer amps are really the best! I've been buying Pioneer products for a long time, and just got this one recently installed in my car. What a difference it makes compared to my car's factory amp. It was also very easy to install.

I bought this power amp because in my experience, - except for very expensive units - most replacement car radio/CD/USB units have relatively little power. I don't mean a lack of boom-box power; I mean sufficient power so that one can hear decent bass and treble response at reasonable volumes.The sound quality on this unit is absolutely outstanding! would give it 6 stars if it were offered. What that means is that its power-to-size ratio is VERY high. Translated, this is a 400W amplifier in a VERY small pkg. I mounted mine via velcro on its underside to the bottom of my glove compartment, so that if its own fuse ever blew, I could pull the unit out of the glove easily, replace the fuse, then the amp, and boogey away. (BTW, the original fuse hasnt blown yet).Will be shortly purchasing another one of these marvelous power amps for my other car, before the mfr gets ny hir-brained ideas about discontinuing this model.

Installed into my Mercedes CLS which has been fitted with a Parrot 9200i. The Parrot is good but has a limited output and struggled to drive my aftermarket Focal speakers. I wanted an amplifiers that accepted high level inputs, was reasonably powerful, but compact enough to hide away in the rear wheel arch. Installation was easy with no requirement for either a big power cable or remote signal to turn the Amp on and off. Set up was even easier as the Amp has automatic gain, power it up and it sorts everything out its self. Very good sound quality through a pair of Focal components in the front and Focal co-axial in the rear. Massive improvement over the stock Merc Amp and the limited Amp supplied with the Parrot. Highly recommended.

Pioneer amps are really the best! I've been buying Pioneer products for a long time, and just got this one recently installed in my car. What a difference it makes compared to my car's factory amp. It was also very easy to install.

Installed this unit in a 2014 4-Runner hooking it up to speaker out inputs of the stock Entune stereo. Mounted the amp behind the glove box next to the stereo & tywrapped in place tightly. Sound quality is good, basically Entune sound boosted up a bit in wattage from stock. Bass has increased giving my new installed JBL's more power to kick. It is about 25% louder then stock, not a huge difference in wattage. Connected power leads directly to stereo 12V and butt spliced to all speaker in/out leads. Not difficult to install, about 1hr. JBL's are about 2-3 ohms and this can handle 2-4 ohms and is one of the reasons, besides small frame size, why I purchased this unit.
Big sound in a little package. I hooked this up to some JL audio C2 690 6x9's (highly recommend) in my front doors and JLAudio components in the rear doors. I then used dynamat extreme (highly recommend also) now my Jeep WJ sounds amazing. Really don't even need a subwoofer these JL's have lots of clean bass. Can't believe it for the size of the speakers they put out a lot of bass. Highs are crisp and clear also. This little amp works really well so far. I'll be hooking up my JL audio sub tomorrow like I said probably don't need it but hey I love lots of nice tight accurate bass.
I bought this compact amp to boost the 6.5in 300W component door speakers I recently installed in Captiva 2016. Superb quality. Easy to install near the head unit. Compact, can be located under the dashboard. Unlike conventional amps, this does not require running heavy power cables, nor speaker wires, just tap to OEM speaker wires. Great product, highly recommended.
This tiny amp is too underpowered to run higher quality 75 watt+ rms speakers. Im sure it would perform better with lower wattage coaxial speakers that arent meant to produce good punchy midbass. Dont get me wrong this lil amp sounds good and definitely better than what my double din kenwood excellon stereo can dish out. But not enough for my power hungry Pioneer TS-D6902R 6x9 speakers. I guess i shuda known better. I got carried away by reading the reviews. I will have to either amp up, or downgrade on my mids. Otherwise its a cool lil amp. I personally cant crank it up too high for too long or it will get into what seems like protection mode and lower my volume substantially no matter how much i turn it up. Brilliant piece of kit. I'm using in combination with my head unit to power 4 of my car's 8 channel system which works well being of similar power output.No gain or fancy crossover dials. just very simple HPF/LPF switches which is all that's needed.great price and service from caraudiocentre. thank you very much
After some hunting around for a amp to supply healthy power levels and a compact enough size for the underside of the rear seat in a MINI it became apparent that the the little pioneer was the best choice out there. It is incredibly easy to wire and powers up instantly, the feed i opted for (to avoid unsightly headunits) was to equipe the MINI with a amp plus two rear speakers and a AUX input. After a little over 2 hours from start to finish the install was complete and sounded amazing. Highly recommended to anyone who needs a compact amp with enought power to drive most speakers.
First off this little amp puts out some serious power!! ..BUT I found it lacked any bass and it wasnt real clean power, the lack of a gain control hurts the amp IMO as the amp is basically set at full gain on a amp with gain control which leads to distorted sound at high volume (I knew it didnt have a gain control b4 I got it) Had it hooked up to Pioneer 6.5 components and 6x9s and it was decent (but not great) for the door speakers but the 6x9s lost a lot of bass compared to my Pioneer 2 channel amp 75 watts rms) I wanted to replace..it wasnt very clean sounding but for the price I gave it a shot..
