Bought this for my VW T6 as wanted CarPlay and DAB. Installed it myself. Mega easy to install and is also short chassis. Waze and Google maps are great. Spotify easy to play my playlists. Even wired in my steering wheel controls to get them working perfectly. Bought a Halfords active DAB antenna and wired in next to the A Pillar. DAB is really good. But the easy install and usage is what I would shout about here!!

I bought two of these for on the advice of Halfords in store staff. I was told that the screen was way better than the sony I was also looking at. I'm not impressed. The screens are not very sharp - there is no excuse for this these days. It is also not very responsive and can take multiple presses to provide function - not what you want in an in-car product. There are also very few settings to configure in terms of how the unit operates and audio output. The buttons on the left hand side are fiddly. The volume requires multipe presses to adjust - there is no press and hold or a mute. It's a pain in the whatsit. Now, this may be the case with other brands/models too, I don't know, but the unit doesn't hold power when cranking the engine, when moving the key from accessory position to start - it cuts out, which will interrupt any calls you're making while parked up and also interrupts the start up procedure of the unit which it doesn't seem to like. Other than that the audio is quality is reasonable and the mic works well. If I had my time over I'd look at the higher up models but theyr'e fitted now so I'll live with them.

I’m very dissapointed in this unitFar less settings than previous SPH-DA unitsYou can’t even change Apple CarPlay from LHD to RHD,night illumination is locked at 8 so can’t adjust the brightness wich makes the screen blindingly bright at night,less audio settings then a pioneer sph-da120 for example,key illumination is all wrong,red is actually bright pink,white is actually amberThis could all be fixed with a fw update from pioneer but i don’t see that happening anytime soonUnless you need Android Auto or DAB i would much rather reccomend the SPH-DA120 wich has had all the necessary fw updates
