The Pioneer XDJ-XZ is the greatest piece of DJ gear I have ever owned. I sold my entire turntable and mixer rig and opted for an XDJ-XZ instead. Not only does it provide 4 channels with high-quality Pioneer FX, but it also features jumbo platters (2 decks) and is an absolute JOY to scratch on! One of my FAVORITE features that I did not know about before getting it is the jog adjust mode. This mode actually changes the tension of the platter so you can get the optimal tension and feedback for whatever your preference may be. I personally like to adjust the platters to be a bit heavier so I can do more in-depth scratching.... other DJs may prefer a very lightweight platter that allows for skipping around the track easily as well as quick beatmatching when mixing ...Ā MoreThe Pioneer XDJ-XZ is the greatest piece of DJ gear I have ever owned. I personally like to adjust the platters to be a bit heavier so I can do more in-depth scratching.... other DJs may prefer a very lightweight platter that allows for skipping around the track easily as well as quick beatmatching when mixing quickly and on the fly. This system also features a couple of USB slots to load up your own tracks, Rekordbox integration, and all of the classic Pioneer FX. Coming from a DJM-750 I felt delighted to also have a filter/color knob on ALL FOUR CHANNELS; as opposed to the DJM-750 which only has ONE knob to swap between channels. When doing more complex transitions which require multiple high pass filters or maybe even a crush effect with reverb on one channel (just an example), I find I am able to get much more creative with my mixes than I ever have been able to before. One more perk about this system is the "club standard" layout. When you get used to the XDJ-XZ, you will be prepared to play any rig at any club because of its club-standard layout which lower-end mixers such as the 750 lack. Comparatively, if you bought two cdjs and a mixer separately for a club-standard layout, you would spend DOUBLE the money.. (over $4000!!!!). My advice is to BUY THE XDJ-XZ. SAVE MONEY. GET GREAT PERFORMANCE AND CAPABILITY OUT OF YOUR GEAR!I have had my unit for about six months now and it is as solid as they come. The build quality is best in class. That being said, my first unit DID have an LED that went out in the play button. Thanks to American Musical - they worked with me to resolve this and promptly swapped my defective unit with a brand new one. I don't think the defective unit reflects pioneer quality, rather a shipping malfunction. I am most pleased with the quality service from American Musical. Shipping was extremely prompt (within 24 hours) and the customer service, when I had a problem, was quick too. They have (in my opinion) the best music gear customer service around!Overall, I highly recommend the Pioneer XDJ-XZ. I would also recommend that if you do buy one, buy it from American Musical. They have great financing options and knowledgeable staff to help you. Make the next big step in your DJ career today with this all-in-one system.

Having spent time using this controller the past 6 months full time djing I can finally give my review of the XdjFirst off, coming from a Ddj-Srt1000 controller the setup, layout, and effects panel are pretty much the same. The only difference is the effects are not post fader. For example if you echo out and close the cross fader you will not hear the effect. Also, there is no tension control on the crossfader.I currently use the controller with Serato Dj and it works seamlessly going back and forth between the computer and the usb sticks. However, if you're wanting to use 2 computers it can be a task as it only has 1 usb port. For example, when adjusting the platter with my left hand i sometimes hit the Reverse button.Playing in live environments the mic feedback reducer is awesome. Only having to really use the low setting most of the time. The one downside of using this controller is the weight. I currently use it in a Odyssey flight case and it probably weighs around 65-70 pounds. Some of the venues i use it in are upstairs so it can be a bit of a workout.Overall, i love everything about the controller. Being that it provides me a Nexus type setup at 1/3 the cost is great.

I have not taken advantage of the dual microphones or the EQing of the Master volume yet.The product has met my expectations, plays well and is a joy to share with my other talented friends. However, the sound card where the 1/4/3.5mm headphone jack connects can easily be bent and can prevent headphones to receive sound. AwesomeUpgraded from the xdj rx and couldn’t be happier. First thing I noticed is the amazing sound quality. Everything a Dj needs at home to work on sets for the club environment. Build quality is excellent and basically feels the same as using a Nexus 2 setup, although I prefer the way the waves are stacked together on this unit so I don’t feel as I’m watching a tennis match as much as two cdjs šŸ˜†All in all can’t fault it!

Very happy to grab this piece of equipment for about $1k off, however the piece is damaged and this wasn’t disclosed in the listing. When pressing the cue or play buttons on the 2nd CDJ, it regularly sends a signal to the hot cue beat pad, either creating a new hot cue or activating an already set hot cue. I will have to drop the piece off at my local StoreDJ, then they will send it to Melbourne for qualified fixing. This means I could be without the decks for 6-8 weeks or so.Pretty grumpy about it but overall the XDJ-XZs are phenomenal.

I'm used to having three pieces of equipment, two turn tables and a mixer all separate. I was actually quite skeptical to buy an all in one unit. Matter of fact I really wanted to just get two CDJ2000NX2's and a DJM900NX2. Since I no longer Dj in the club and just spin at home, spending $6500 did not make a lot of sense. So I bit the bullet and decided to get the XDJ-XZ. I want to say, honestly this is the first time I bought a new gear and wasn't excited about it arriving. I was so used to having a particular set up and steering away from that was very difficult. After unboxing the unit and hooking everything up with my Technics 1200GR's I started working with the unit. The feel of the mixer was just like Working with my DJM800. The functionality is tight and precise. Although I was not excited initially I will say that I'm absolutely thrilled to have this new piece of gear.

My friend e has been wanting this upgrade to Her equipment for maybe a year & I committed myself to making this happen. When new XDJ XZs became available the end of February I jumped as there were new boards finally available and I promised my friend and BH came through and made a very happy young woman. I am a musician and don't know that much about dj but the biggest selling point is both Seranto and Record Box run on it and it works with a flash drive. The controllers are alot more precise over Her previous Pioneer dj. She does production work on it too. The connections are all what I would expect from a Pro piece of equipment with xlr, ts, trs, or rcas. This was a smart move as used is selling for more than new. best dj system, I love all of the features that it has, I can do a lot and make a song feel brand new with it, I love how much creativity it brings so that you can make it your own. I got it as a beginner and have learned so much and am still learning a lot more tools that comes with it, its not supposed to be for beginners but I definitely thought it was easy to learn and play on and definitely recommend for anyone trying to get a dj board that you can go far with and use with anything, I can't wait for what's to come with this board, esp when I get to play for people its gonna be great. This dj board supports both Rekordbox and Serato which I love because both of those apps offer great things. THANKS PIONEER..!

There have been some issues with Pioneer DJ getting these into U.K. dealers of late. Pioneer DJ told me it’s a combination of not being able to make them fast enough and added restrictions bringing them into the country due to COVID. TBH I had a deposit with x3 official suppliers and DJ Kit were able to get me one soonest. I’m glad it was them because the customer service was excellent. I really can’t fault it. Getting on to the vinit though it’s exactly what I needed and hoped for. The full size jogs of the NXS2 CDJs are an absolute joy to use and that DJM900 mixer section is incredible. Getting on to the vinit though it’s exactly what I needed and hoped for. The full size jogs of the NXS2 CDJs are an absolute joy to use and that DJM900 mixer section is incredible. It’s connected to my active studio monitors via balanced XLRs using high quality Neutrik XLR plugs and my favourite (flat response) Sommer Carbokab cable and the whole thing just sounds incredible. It’s sounds crisper and sharper than the USB audio from the iMac to the same monitors using my Focusrite Scarlett interface, its that good. Using the unit as a stand-alone is great just load your usb into one of the two type A ports on the top fascia and you’re playing in seconds. Hot cues load instantly and that large 7ā€ touch screen displays all the info you could reasonably want. In addition the jogs now display waveform, cues, countdown/up, artwork etc. Connected to RB it works beautifully too. All in I’m massively pleased with this. I have only one gripe and I’ve taken this up with Pioneer DJ, and that is that in RB it’s possible to key change and key match using the closest harmonic semitones, however there’s no way of doing it on this gear in standalone mode. The display shows the key the track is when it’s loaded but you can’t set it. It will change as you pitch up/down in speed (unless Master Tempo is on) but you have to do it by ear and that will throw out your bpm as you can’t have both. I’ve suggested it as a firmware update but these things take time. It’s just a shame as otherwise this unit is SO perfect, but overall it won’t stop me enjoying playing on this if putting out great mixes.
