I knew what is was going for and I was aware of what this XDJ is capable of before buy. It’s a great quality product however I have to say it’s way overpriced for what it is. If you want to use it with Recordbox as a controller, Pioneer makes you buy Recordbox license even though 2 of theseunits are more expensive than some of their controllers where price includes Recordbox license.Otherwise, great product.

as a vinyl & serato user who wanted to get accustomed to CDJs/Rekordbox.. this unit is perfect. Rekordbox equiped w/ a performance mode w/ loops, cue points etc thats super easy to use. Its nice, compact & light and perfect to pack in a bag (w/ its decksaver on) for gigs to give me a digital option alongside vinyl. It also handles brilliantly for a small device.. the platter feels somwhat mechanical w/ tension so cutting up on it is also easy. Will definitely consider grabbing another one eventually to have a full digital setup..

Great size to have in your home for practicing. Works pretty much, the basics, as bigger players like 1000MK2, or even 2000NX2's. Of course less functions but still competent. Many of the traditional button functions like rewind are in the touch menu, makes it a bit more tricky to use. Great tocuhscreen. Of course the jogs are smaller, but they work. I did compare these with buying a XDJ-RX, and I'm happy I did. It looks and feels more like a trad setup you meet in clubs etc, and you can replace bit by bit instead of a whole if you want to upgrade or need to repair. In general descent great stuff. I strongly recommend these in a combination with i.e. DJM450.The only thing I'm missing:- The possibility to record to USB, you have to add a computer or a special tool ... MoreGreat size to have in your home for practicing. Pretty decent for the cost, these are are basically the CDJ 2000's stripped down with slightly cheaper feel but v similar software at a third of the price. And no CD's. The only function I can't find is the attack and fade on a stop. The mixer is quite irritating, underpowered Aux, and the nearly useless effects panel that can't be assigned to a chanel. Also phono or line... No inbetween for a second line... It is limited, but does the job enough.
Very good make, compact and feels professional. Function wise seems complete to me; I have used the xdj 1000 a couple of times and I do not feel like I am really missing features; the jog wheel is small but works fine for me. The price is Pioneer but definetely for a semi pro home setup is more than acceptable
Got two of them as addition to my XDJ-XZ. The controller has 2 extension ports for deck 3/4 with full Pioneer DJ Pro Link functionality. System works perfectly, really plug and play. Also now all together 4 USB sockets to put flash drives in. With access for all 4 decks, perfect.Devices themselves are a bit small and light but with the stand they look decent. Workflow is clear and simple, display actually better than on the XDJ-XZ or the 2000s I worked with.Jogwheels are smaller and move lighter than with the 2000s of course, but haptic is great and I can even scratch them.Well done Pioneer on the entry level stuff, while entry level is more of a euphemism at 1400 the pair.
Well what can I say wicked bit of kit pretty much like the nexus 2000s little brother. The screen is clear and touch screen reacts perfect to your demands. Really quick delivery says 4-5 days I got mine in 3. Wicked price aswell deffo recommend to any DJ out there.( DJ Psychosis )
I've been a bedroom dj for over 20 years making sets for my own listening from Progressive House / Underground Tech / Techno. I've had vinyl decks, cheap cdj's, expensive cdj's and now a long awaited upgrade from my CDJ-400's to the XDJ-700's. These do everything I could ever need on a deck, and pair up nicely with my DJM-800. The recessed pitch fader is tight and accurate and bpm with decimal place makes long transitions nice and tight. Planning a set with Rekordbox saving markers and auto loops is a lifesaver, and it's easy to call them up on the unit. The units themselves are fantastic and they're a joy to use. The touchscreen is nice and clear and responsive. The touchscreen is nice and clear and responsive. The jog wheels although smaller than the daddy's feel nicely weighted for pitching; I can't comment for scratching. They're the usual expected Pioneer quality even though they're predominantly plastic and have a smaller footprint than the top end models. Ideal for the bedroom, but if looked after they'll travel well. I wish I bought them sooner!
The touchscreen offers detailed library information and robust search capabilities. Compared to the similarly priced 850s which I've used extensively, these decks are better on many levels. The main drawback for me compared to the 850s is that the functionality such and reverse and cue selection are accessed through the touchscreen menu resulting in a less tactile experience. The jog wheel is also smaller and less informative compared to 850s.These drawbacks are minor for me however as I don't do much scratching. The compact form factor plus the added functionality the touchscreen provides has made me extremely happy with this purchase.
Loved every moment of using these units. As a DJ it’s really helped me improve my techniques and transition onto CDJs in the clubs. Great service even though there were complications on my end initially (lol)10/10, would recommend to friends :)
