Pirelli Cinturato Gravel Mixed Terrain Tyre - Black
Cinturato Gravel Mixed Terrain is the specific tire for gravel use designed for mixed terrains, with a variable base between compact and inconsistent and all intermediate types. The tread is made with blocks of medium height and spacing to ensure excellent performance on a wide range of terrains. The special compound SpeedGRIP Compound adds characteristics of mechanical resistance and chemical grip without reducing smoothness. Cinturato Gravel Mixed Terrain is a performing clincher with unique grip characteristics in all conditions, both on dry and wet surfaces, as well as a high level of puncture protection. The Cinturato Gravel Mixed Terrain tread is composed of blocks whose spacing and height have been studied in combination with the mechanical and physical characteristics of the compound to offer uncompromising performance in variable conditions between compact and inconsistent terrains. The addition of specific ribs helps to support the blocks by limiting their deformation and to facilitate the discharge of excess mud in wet conditions. The properties of the new SpeedGRIP Compound compound have been developed for all weather conditions, regardless of whether the soil is dry or wet. The new compound shares with the specific mountain bike compound - SmartGRIP Compound - the same polymer matrix that improves its smoothness. Cinturato Gravel Mixed Terrain uses a reinforced internal structure combining a layer of protective fabric that goes from heel to heel to a tubeless-ready Aramid structure optimized for modern wide rims. In addition to a very high level of puncture protection, Cinturato Gravel offers new levels of smoothness and grip, giving life to a reliable and performing product, exactly what made Pirelli's Cinturato trademark famous.

I have legitimately never been so impressed with a bike tire. Over the past 5 months or so, I have put these tires through hell and have yet to see a puncture. From MTB trails, to loose/chunky gravel, to long rides on pure-gravel roads, to pavement-only rides, and more. It's also worth noting that I am a 6'3", 210lbs and I pride myself in my above-average sprint power. These are lighter and faster on pavement and hard-pack surfaces than most gravel tires. Oh and they also happen to be an absolute BREEZE to set up tubeless. I have truly found my "goldilocks" tire and I will not go back.Of course, if you are doing loads of riding in thick mud, you these will not be the best option out there. I've been using these tires for about 6 months on all types of surfaces, from hard pack gravel roads, to loose and muddy singletrack. They provide excellent grip and thus far have proven quite durable. The riding in my area includes a fair bit of mountain bike trails with rock gardens, and they sidewalls have held up very well against repeated sidewall scrapes and scuffs. Only word of caution I'd have for prospective buyers is frame clearance. I have the 700x40mm version, and they mount up to 43mm wide on 24mm internal width rims. Many gravel frames have clearance for 45mm+, but not all.

As on the tin - these are fast rolling gravel tyres perfect for hard packed gravel roads, tramac roads with potholes and wet road conditions. They seemed to roll faster than others on Schwalbe gravel tyres. Didnt get into any really muddly conditions so can't vouch for them in those conditions.Had to fight a bit to get them on but once on they stay up.Fast well managed delivery from Pushy - as normal

This has been a consistently fast and reliable tire. It rolls very fast and has reasonable grip for the shorter, tightly spaced, center treads. It feels soft enough at lower pressures but still feels sturdy on the side walls. I was able to mount it to my reserve wheels without tire levers. Using Muc-Off tape and sealant I had zero issues inflating and holding seal. No compressor just my Topeak floor pump with built in canister. Attached photos are on Reserve 40/44 carbon wheels. Tire shown is on 25mm internal rim. For all out grip I would go with the Cinturato M but for a fast tire on tighter gravel this is your ticket!!
I have 15 years of experience in XC MTB, but have started dabbling in gravel. Supplies were short so I ended up with 35c from my local Trek shop. I'm 185lb and have ridden them at 38f/40r. Most of my road riding is for training purposes and these add so much more grip for seemingly little additional rolling resistance to my 32c tubeless Schwalbe g one road tires. I raced these cinturatos over a mix of tarmac to loose gravel and they we're surprisingly bombproof. They're fine through an occasional section of damp dirt, but I wouldn't ride them in any sort of slop. Like other reviews mention, you have to lean them pretty far before you feel the side knobs bite. Very impressive, put them on for a recent trip to the Yorkshire Dales, handled very well on the roads and excelled on loose gravel off road. Withstood so fairly big rocks and some very loose gravel no problem. So far build quality has been excellent and then look good too which is always a bonus. A little pricey but so far worth it. Currently on my 2021 specialised diverge. This was the first set of proper gravel tyres I have used as the bike came with road tyres, so it’s been nice to finally test it off-road. Will be interesting to see how it holds up in the wet, the spacing between the tread seems to clear mud and dirt quite well.
Received the same yesterday, couldn't wait to ride my hybrid cycle immediately after installing these tyres. It was like a complete makeover, ride felt very smooth, fast, felt good confidences while cornering over the rough roads. Being gravel it stood taller and absorbed the shocks extremely well. My cycle rigid fork almost felt like the ones with suspensions.Highly Recommended.
I think these are pretty fantastic tires. Would do 4.5 stars if half stars were available. The only minor complaints are that they quite expensive and difficult to install. I may just have especially week thumbs, but it took every trick in the book to get those beads in place. On the trail, however, they were fantastic. Took the out for 2.5 hours on mixed surfaces— loose gravel, wet grass, packed sand, dirt, and lots of mud. I definitely lack confidence in my handling, but these tires felt super stable and grippy. Exactly what I wanted for mixed winter trail conditions.
Got these in 700x45 for my Bombtrack Hook to be more road worthy but still maintain off road beast mode. Having removed too large Vittoria Barzo's in 29 x 2.1, these skinny tires have a lot to live up to. While they do not traverse deep mud well, they sleighed gravel, dirt, and tall grass, while being among the stickiest on blacktop/pavement that I have ever ridden. Not faster rolling than GKSK's but fast enough given the tremendous off road prowess.By far these were the easiest tubeless set up I have every attempted. Seated immediately to Shimano GRX wheels (21 internal/25 external), got bathed in Stans by shaking tires, then aired up (higher pressure at first to allow better seating and coverage - pro tip from a mech) to prefect alignment on rim. I hope they ... MoreGot these in 700x45 for my Bombtrack Hook to be more road worthy but still maintain off road beast mode. I hope they will get wider someday, but if not, the bike handles so much better with the more narrow width. The dark brown looks exceptional in person, but not all bikes will be as handsome or match.UPDATE @ 250 miles -- am in love with this tire and count it among the very best I have ridden on any surface. these are up there with my love for IRC Mythos and Panaracer Dart/Smoke for MTB Racing in my 20's. they are just a capable, predictable, and solid performer. can be a bit slippery in rain and muddy puddles, but this tire clings to chunky mud very well, and has not washed out in sand, even at high pressure. and best of all, these things hold air for days!! may be putting them on my 2nd gravel bike as well.

I don't understand how anyone has issues getting these on rims. for me (57yo lady) they seated immediately to Shimano GRX wheels, got bathed in Stans by shaking tires parallel to floor, then aired up (at higher pressure at first to allow better seating and coverage - pro tip from a mech) and have held prefect alignment to rim.they will likely stretch a bit wider as they break in, but if not, the bike handles so much better with the more narrow width. the dark brown side wall looks exceptional in person, but not all bikes will be as handsome or match. will update once I have more miles and can speak to durability. both tires had seams visible on the sidewall through the casing but hoping that's how they're supposed to look.i would not hesitate to put these on any gravel or road bike with the clearance to try adventure rides.
